But I would totally be in the same boat if universal did the same with 2 of my most wanted upgrades.

1. Streets of Fire
2. Howard the Duck (Yes I'm serious)
Howard the Duck is available from Germany and has a decent transfer. The problem is that it's region B locked.

I'm surprised this hasn't gained more interest in the past few weeks, since it is from a new scan from Fox.

As usual with TT, my wallet will cry a river of tears, but I will be ordering this tomorrow, because I am very excited to see the new scan. And also because of Ursula Andress.

And I rarely mention this, but the icing on the cake will be the Isolated Score from none other than Jerry Goldsmith, and the newly recorded audio commentary ain't bad either.

I only wish every TT release could have this much potential...then I'd be happy to buy them all.

Is there a reason why this and Thunderbolt & Lightfoot have not gone live yet?

it's end of business day for them. they usually open the orders at that time for most releases. that way they don't have to answer phone calls till after the initial rush is over

Never seen this before...is it any good? Interested because it's a World War I movie, and there aren't many of those. Plus I'm a fan of studio war movies made in the 1960's.

Yes. Also, the dogfights are real just like with Battle of Britain. However, unlike Battle of Britain the rest of the film is actually good.

Thanks. I'm thinking about getting this (especially since it's from a new scan), just didn't know if the movie itself was any good.

As is Streets of Fire. Also from Germany and from same company. It's confirmed region free.

https://forum.blu-ray.com/showthread...treets+of+fire

There is also UK release. Apparently region B only.

I can't wait to hear Jerry Goldsmith's score in luscious DTS-HD MA. The alternate score would also make for a fascinating. I was initially wary of replacing my DVD copy of The Blue Max due to the increasing number of Twilight Time titles I'm interested in getting, but it seems as though this one will be worth the money.

Jerry Goldsmith's score is a classic! The Varese release was the first CD I bought in the early 80s. It is fantastic! In its initial release, I vividly recall being in awe of it as the main titles unrolled -- it was (and is) most impressive.

I don't understand why Fox doesn't make this title (and the oop TT "Journey to the Center of the Earth") a digibook release. The price would certainly be more affordable. That being said, this is great (if somber) film and I'm looking forward to its Blu-ray release.
