Holy Shit Man! This is a definite upgrade just for the producer's cut alone on Halloween 666! Especially if all released material from each release is included not to mention it seems the TV versions of Halloween I & II are making their bluray debuts, since they are currently just DVD's!

Even though I already own 1 and 2 which I see as the perfect conclusion to the story I'd be down to get this set.

Add me to the list of shocked and awed. Seems too good to be true. After already buying standalone releases for the majority of the series (multiple times & in multiple formats), they've really got me by the cojones with this announcement.

This is one of those things that sounds so unbelievable it could only be true. Ultimate Halloween Set? Count me in

I already own 1-5 and will likely only rewatch the original and III in the future, so I'll save my cash for other releases, unless there are some really in-depth new extras and 4k transfers (not going to happen, I know). I will definitely check out the Producer's Cut of 6 though.

Nothing surprises me in this day and age. Where cut footage is found for Dracula 1958 that has rumored to exist all these years or the uncut version of Frankenstein and the monster from hell in HD. Anything is possible. Now lets have Phantasm.Angus Scrimm mention a blu ray box set a couple of years ago.

2014 has been such an awesome year for Blu-ray releases

We got Twin Peaks, The Legend of Billie Jean and now this which I never thought Id see the day that these films would be brought to Blu.

I'll believe this is real when it's in my hands. If it is real, how? The rights are all over the place, with a bunch of companies who don't share or play nice with others! If it is true, I also hope for solo releases as I don't want to re-buy half the series again and really don't think I care about the TV cuts (I have the dvds already and never watch them, can't see HD being a huge selling point for them). I would pick up 666.

For Halloween II, I wonder if it'll be the Universal disc or Shout Factory? What about that missing Moustapha Akkad credit? Will Terror In The Aisles be on the deluxe version of this set? So many questions!

I just can't convince myself this is real. There are way too many variables with all of these films to get them all crammed into one set. Who is releasing? Was the Devil involved in the contract? I so want this to be true, but I am also very unconvinced that this is real, or will actually happen.

Let's see

Anchor Bay - Halloween (1978)
Universal - Halloween II (1981)
Universal - Halloween III
Anchor Bay - Halloween 4
Anchor Bay - Halloween 5
Dimension - Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers
Dimension - Halloween H20
Dimension - Halloween: Resurrection
Sony - Rob Zombie's Halloween
Sony - Rob Zombie's Halloween II

Regarding Dimension Titles: The studio's movie franchises include the later Halloween films, Children of the Corn, Scream, Spy Kids and Scary Movie. Its films are released on DVD and Blu-ray by Beverly Hills–based Anchor Bay Entertainment, due to the 25% purchase of Starz Media, which is Anchor Bay's parent.

So that covers Halloween's 6,7 & 8
Universal Licensed out Halloween II & III to Shout Factory, so why not to Anchor Bay? Sony being the toughest one probably is getting a nice chunk on change to include Zombie's two films. Either way I can't think why this wouldn't be legit. Amazon has pre-orders up, sure no date is listed but I bet an October release is in order.

Either way we got a decent set of all the Freddy Krueger films, Jason finally got his due, even though only the first movie was uncut, Michael Myers is long overdue a set and now we just need Hellraiser!

This is how I think it will be laid out. I believe Anchor Bay has the rights too all of these so they wouldn't have to get any licensing from anyone else (edit: except 3 I think?). I don't think any Rob Zombie version will be included.

Disc 1: Halloween (2007 disc)
Disc 2: Halloween 35th Anniversary
Disc 3: Halloween 2
Disc 4: Halloween 1 and 2 Network TV cut
Disc 5: Halloween 3
Disc 6: Halloween 4
Disc 7: Halloween 5
Disc 8: Halloween 6 (The Curse of Michael Myers)
Disc 9: Halloween 7 (H2O)
Disc 10: Halloween 8 (Resurrection)
Disc 11-15: Extras

I remember when Warner did that Terminator box set and that was a mix of studios, not quite like this though

I think this is a co-production with Scream and Anchor Bay. Ab made a post about a big announcement as did Cliff Mac on his page. This sounds really awesome.. and it appears to be true... Wait until Monday when the official announcement his but this appears to be Amazon letting the cat out of the bag

I want the Producer's Cut of Halloween 6! Hopefully that alone is released by itself because i'm not interested in the entire set if in fact this release is even legit.

Per Amazon:

Quote:
This collection includes all 10 Halloween films: Halloween, Halloween II, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers, Halloween 5: The Revenge of Michael Myers, Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, Halloween H20, Halloween: Resurrection, Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Halloween II. Here it is, the one that started it all – Halloween: The Complete Collection.
