Violent Naples, along with Violent Rome and A Special Cop in Action, is a holy grail for eurocrime fans that deserves a special collector's edition treatment like Grindhouse Releasing's Rome Armed to the Teeth.

If Severin plan to release it, it should be a standalone edition packed with extras and also include the ost CD. It would sell well even if sold separately.

Story

Everything goes as planned until the American (Lee J Cobb) shows up. He is the greatest in the underworld also called the king. Nick the Sting, a small time crook, gets on his trail as the American wants to rob his own jewels to collect compensation from the insurance company. The American wants to have him put away, but Nick frames him by having a fake prison built. Friends are disguised as policemen and the American is arrested for alleged murder. Kidnappings, intrigue....will Nick and his gang manage to defeat the American?

I have a crush on Lisa Gastoni, so I intended to make my first Cineploit order with L'immoralità, but then I went to IMDb and saw what is in it, more specifically who is shown nude, and it sounds like a risky import. I haven't seen the film, but I wonder if an uncut UK release is even possible.

As for Gli amici di Nick Hezard, that has just been released in the US by Raro, so I'm guessing Cineploit's release will be better, but again, there is the possibility of a UK release.

Finished the new release of Almost Human in the Tomas Milian collection. Wow. Every issue the previous release had has been fixed. The telecine wobble? Gone. The issue with the Italian audio for about 6 minutes? Gone. It also has much better detail and color than all previous releases and looks fantastic. Almost Human which is my favorite Italian crime film now has a truly near perfect release. Fantastic.
