Just got a copy of this (UK edition) paid about twice the price it was on Amazon UK originally and there's some damage to the outer paper holder thing (but only that, the rest is fine). That will teach me to pre order, I never normally bother to with anything. Glad to have picked up a copy much cheaper than the eye watering prices now being listed on amazon and most of those on ebay etc. Next one in the series pre ordered on Amazon, I have learnt my lesson

I think my UK discs arrived today (in California) via FedEx. I'm not home to check tho. My wife said the package is pretty flimsy so I'm guessing it's the discs.
My wife said that FedEx tried to deliver yesterday but didn't leave the package because the shipment required a signature! This morning, the delivery person was adamant that my wife had to sign and literally pounded on the door until my wife answered and signed. The date of export is October 22nd. |

I did get it originally for £40 from Amazon but being able to sell it for £175 was too hard to resist seeing as most of the bonus features I was interested in were on the discs being replaced. And I did assume it would be reissued in standard packaging. Now that doesn't appear to be happening I opted to pay £90 for a used copy which only has a small tear on the paper wraparound which is unimportant considering the one I sold for £175 didn't even have it. Needless to say the discs 3 and 5 are the faulty ones but I shall put in the replacements I got a while ago and keep hold of it this time |

I don't see Limited Edition expensive Bluray sets replacing dvd's at any point though mainly because the Bluray market is a small percentage of the home video market compared to dvd - which is surprising after 10 years |

I got back in touch last week and was told the (2nd set of) replacement discs had been sent "weeks ago" and that they'd check and resend if necessary. Still not received them. It's very frustrating, particularly since people overseas received the replacements many weeks ago.

Writing to confirm that this delivery was indeed the replacement discs. It shipped in a thin, cardboard envelope with bubble wrap "protecting" the discs. The discs were face-to-face with the data sides facing out. The bubble wrap was not sealed so when trying to pull them out, the discs clattered to the rug. Luckily, no serious damage or scratches. There were some finger prints on the discs but they were easily wiped away. I did a quick check on the numbers on the inner ring and they were different from the original versions in the set. I think I'm good. My reply from BBC support was dated October 10th. I received the discs a week and a half later (GB to CA, USA). I hope everyone's discs are making their way across the pond. |

Much as I'm happy to see our friends across the Pond get their copies, it's a bit pathetic there seems to be quite a few of us in the UK that haven't got their replacements yet.
Wonder if the BBC spent all their money on International postage and ran out of cash for Second Class UK stamps... ![]() |

Definitely earlier than mine, but at least the 'first in' request won this time.
I got a one-off 'damaged, return' in September that I put in a request. The discs and booklet were fine, just box damage though -- not much recourse at this point unless there's someone who wants to unload the actual box/J-card and use binders/Amaray case? Was there any kind of tracking number on the FedEx mailing label -- even if they aren't sending them to customers, FedEx usually notifies me of an incoming package -- seems odd to have Sign. Required and not tracking. |

Having said that, I'm sure FedEx must have had a tracking number for the parcel. |
