Yup! That's the one!

If you do wind up watching the trailer, be warned that it's pretty much the entire movie hypercompressed into three minutes over a bed of Krokus's Easy Rocker. Not necessarily a bad thing, but forewarned is four armed and all that.

I heartily recommend:
MALABIMBA from Vinegar Syndrome -

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Malab...lu-ray/255080/

this delivers on all fronts (boobs included), and filmed in a cool castle for plenty of atmosphere. It's a supernatural Euro horror film that's just batshit crazy and I love it. (just to note it does have some hardcore inserts in the film).
Should be on sale during VS Black friday event, and I think there are about 190 slipcased copies left if that's your thing, also a standard edition available.

https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Massa...lu-ray/276113/

MASSACRE IN DINOSAUR VALLEY from Severin -
This is an adventure exploitation film which again gets a huge boost for it's awesome locales in South America. What's also a boost is that two gorgeous girls end up running around in only loincloths for the entire second half of the film. Alligators, piranhas, cannibals, waterfall fights, quicksand, and again beautiful ladies make this an exploitation must own IMHO.

Can confirm! I hate, hate, hate Cannibal movies, so it was with a bit of trepidation that I picked up the three disc bundle of this, Jaws 5 and Savage Terror - but the "this is great" that the rest of the board was gushing encouraged me.

It's not a cannibal flick. Not in your traditional sense, at least. I found myself quite enjoying it - so yes, I heartily endorse the movie.

I can't comment on Malabimba because it is currently en-route to me as we speak (I just ordered it last week).

Another recommendation along the lines of Malabimba is the nunsploitation classic Satanico Pandemonium. Great atmosphere - good nudity - sacrilegious as hell... a definite recommend!
If you liked Satanico Pandemonium you'll LOVE Malabimba.
Even for some of it's exploitative scenes, Satanico Pandemonium has sorty of an arty/exploitation feel to it.
Malabimba fully embraces it's sleaze and runs with it, pulling you down into the mud along the way!

Also, seconded for Night Killer. That movie has so many twists and turns (as far as "What genre is the movie at the moment?" kind of way), I got dizzy. Well worth picking up.

I thought The Bees was was a blast. Take your average Irwin Allen boilerplate disaster movie and give it that unique spin that only the Italians could do and run with it.

Lastly - and this one is a pain in the ass to find, but well worth it - The Mad Foxes is such a batshit insane flick, I don't know how to even begin describing it. Just watch the trailer - that'll give you the barest hint of what lies inside.
i absolutely love Night Killer.
Great to see some love for The Bees.

Perv!
Just kidding, i love me some bush!
Sometimes the wife will just roll her eyes and say "do you own any movies without bush?"
Which of course i reply, no.
It kind of reached a climax after watching Night Has A Thousand Desires, which is amazing for anyone who is interested. But we forewarned, it's glacially paced but very much hypnotic. I thought it had a proto- Mullholland Drive feel.

Haha, you're a true aficionado. If it were allowed in the forum, I'd start a thread titled "Bush on Blu: The Curly-Coated Side of Cinema."

The Ronin Flix box set of I Spit on Your Grave arrived today. I suppose that this thread is the place where I will not be judged for revisiting it.

(I'll concede that it is a pretty vile flick, but I tend to go for all things Nightmare USA.)

I haven't seen it in so long, but i didn't splurge on the lavish looking set. Speaking of vile flicks New York Ripper 4k seems to be pretty cheap right now. I've been meaning to snag it for awhile.

It's definitely not a fast-paced film but if you go with the flow, it's easy to get hypnotized by it's steadily uneasy vibe. A hidden gem that deserves more recognition!
Thanks for the suggestion! I've really been getting into CR since Hamiltonbooks been releasing some.

Gents/Ladies/Others,

I have decided to reorganize my collection away from label or Director specific to Sub-Genres. Here is what I have thus far,

- Giallo
- Euro Cult / Horror
- Horror
- General Cult & Exploitation
- Foreign Drama
- Action
- Western (not going to get too specific here with Spaghetti, new, etc)
- Asian Horror
- Martial Arts

Lots more to go but this is the way I’m going. Thoughts?

I organize my collection by genre here at home.

(...because I purchase new Blu-rays so frequently that I would be constantly reshuffling them if I tried to store them alphabetically.)

I always thought the majority here organized by alphabetical, Director, and/or by label.

Mine are listed alphabetically here on the website, but I have to store the physical purchases in separate bins by genre at home.

Vile and hard to watch, absolutely - but I will always contend that there is a great deal to say about the movie. Lots of subtext and symbolism throughout the whole thing.

[Show spoiler]
In fact, we had an hour's worth of something to say about it:

My issue with the remake (have not seen the Remake parts 2 or 3) is that it goes out of it's way to make everything SUPER SINISTER! Take, for just one example, the scene where Jennifer meets the Yokels at the Gas Station for the first time. In the original, it's just a encounter with some local color.

In the remake, there's a sense of dread everywhere. Everything is grimy and dirty and rundown while the locals are acting creepy right out of the gate. Now I'm not going to accuse a movie with a 25 minute rape scene of being a subtle movie, but compared to the remake? It totally is.
