Michael Diana is an American underground cartoonist. His work, which is largely self-published, deals with themes including sexuality, violence, and religion. He is the first person to receive a criminal conviction in the United States for artistic obscenity for his comic Boiled Angel.

I highly recommend this documentary from filmmaker Frank Henenlotter chronicling the controversy surrounding Mike Diana.

Huh....based on the synopsis and trailer for Thrust, totally looks like my kind of jam. Best announcement from VS' February slate hands down.

Quote:
Thrust! is a super-saturated exploitation epic that follows two lovers, Aloe and Vera, through a dystopian society ruled by girl gangs. Aloe and Vera are on a quest to kill the last scumbag alive, a disgusting degenerate named Dirtbag Mike. Along the way they have to survive a lurid spectrum of horny and unhinged freaks and fiends. They just need love, a gun, some bullets, working plumbing, and maybe a little bit of the mysterious drug everyone calls "loud."

This unique dystopian vision is based on the short story "Shit****ed: A Vile Love Story" by writer Hannah Neurotica, and is directed by Victor Bonacore. Thrust! stars Erin Brown (AKA Misty Mundae), Allison Egan (Her Name Was Torment), and a huge ensemble cast of independent actresses, professional wrestlers, underground filmmakers, musicians and punks.

I'm in!

I saw this in October at Cinema Wasteland at a midnight showing and it was hands down my favorite film I saw there.

The locations are amazing, and it truly looks like a post-apocalypse wasteland.

It is a long film and runs over 2 hours, but it has an epic scope and a who 's-who cast of indie horror people.

Copies signed by Erin Brown would easily sell out.

No.

You are reminding me that there are still numerous films NOT on BR/4K.

Before we get to softcore and XXX, another genre has our full attention.
