Buying 5 from Arrow's UK site averages around 50 pounds, which is under $70.

At release date, they're about $28 here, and I think only about 15 pounds in the UK, which is compa/ratively much higher.

Perhaps you and I are buying different films and yours are never on sale on Arrow's site? Or maybe like you said, those times have passed, I don't know.
That's my experience, too. Way cheaper to import arrow BD on sale than buying from their US counterpart. We will have to see the pricing differences when Indicator opens up their US store.

It was released by Mill Creek, who probably still have the rights to it.

I know, I have that. But Sony could still license it to Indicator for a special edition.

I suppose that's true. Arrow did release Brotherhood of Satan from that set.

I think it's reasonable to speculate that A Time For Dying will get a US release (seems a risky proposition for a UK-only release). And if that's the case, I expect Bartleby will also (both being licenced from Corinth Films).

Beyond excited to see what this leads to. Hopefully this means the Noir Sets will get Region A releases or at the very least proceed in the U.S. with the future sets now.

Hoping they keep the same packaging they use in the UK in terms of cases.

Noice.

Wonder if they'll just reissue their region locked releases for over here or do new releases that they can't do in the UK?

For the limited editions I agree. But I would be fine if they switched to thin clear cases for the standard editions.

If I'm not mistaken, they try to keep things region free unless rights issues dictate otherwise. Releasing something that was previously a Region B into Region A territories would probably require a new license.

I spent a ton of money on Indicator/Powerhouse titles back when they used to release region free stuff.

In fact, I own almost all of Indicator's region free releases.

When they went fully Region B, that put a stop to my purchases from the label.

I hope that Indicator U.S. can somehow get us region A editions of their last Hammer set and of the Columbia Noir sets, although I'm not holding my breath.

Such a great label.

I'm region free so that doesn't bother me, but now I won't have to pay their ridiculous shipping charges or go through some shady ebay seller to get my Indicator fix on. Amazon Global Store UK has been a good alternative lately though.

Yeah this is great news. It's a bit of a hassle getting Indicator titles in N America as users have mentioned, so this is definitely a welcome announcement.

No announcement about this from Indicator themselves yet, or have I missed something?

Based on this, they have a US deal with StudioCanal (Hoffman), though it's worth bearing in mind that Kino, Shout, Criterion and Film Movement already have hundreds of titles from the catalogue under licence.

Apparently The Blockhouse is no longer with MGM, so that may have been acquired from the producers. I don't think The Brute and Girl Stroke Boy are with a major studio either.
