Also released under the title Young Sherlock Holmes and the Pyramid of Fear, this film follows the adventures of young John Watson (Alan Cox) when he is shipped off to boarding school and meets up with the brilliantly bizarre Sherlock Holmes (Nicolas Rowe). The two boys strike up a friendship and promptly become involved in the investigation of a number of mysterious murders. When their curiosity gets them into trouble with a dangerous religious cult, Watson and Holmes must struggle to avoid capture while attempting to notify the authorities.

I'm very happy for its fans as it's been a long requested title, but come on Paramount can you please release A Simple Plan, Narc, Eddie Murphy Raw and Flirting with Disaster (Miramax)?? (with Jackass 1 & 2 for good measure)..

Judging by the price I assume this isn't a Paramount Presents titles? Any chance of a new master or most likely just an old DVD-era transfer?

Glad Paramount is back in the catalogue game after a few quiet months. With them licensing out and releasing titles themselves, we'll have most of the essential Paramount titles in a couple of years I would suppose.

Paramount seems to be hit-or-miss on these older catalogs. This one should be decent unlike Going Ape and Foul Play (lower tier $12.99). Hopefully we can expect a good transfer.

What do you mean unlike Going Ape? The transfer on that one was great especially since it had never really had a HD release before.

I'd imagine it being an Amblin production will probably help in it having a newer transfer, but who knows. Glad to see it's finally coming to Blu.

Somehow never seen this one, but the trailer has me interested. Some parts of it sort of reminded me of early Harry Potter films, which perhaps has to do with Chris Columbus' involvement as the screenplay writer.
