Encouraging to see more shorts released on physical media (especially with a "Volume 1" designation), but like many others have already said, it's pretty disappointing to only get 10. I'll pick this up for sure, though, with hopes that there's a lot more where this came from.

It would make sense for them to release 10 volumes of 10 shorts making it 100 shorts commemorating 100 anniversary but it might be an ambitious project if Disney is worried about sales figures

Some of their early material, especially the material that is now PD like the Laugh O Grams and the Alice shorts (Disney never renewed their copyright) they don't seem to care a bit about. Many of the lesser seen Silly Symphonies had weak transfers on the old DVD sets.

Speaking of that, what is the Disney+ coverage for Silly Symphonies like? If there are any, do they seem to be HD transfers? I could see the big ones like Three Little Pigs and the Old Mill getting this treatment.
Over three years later, and Disney + still doesn’t have a single Black and White Silly Symphony, not even The Skeleton Dance!
They currently have 17 of the 75 Silly Symphonies which are:
Flowers and Trees
Babes in the Woods
Santa’s Workshop (The censored version, of course)
The Three Little Pigs (Again, the long censored version)
The Pied Piper
The Grasshopper and the Ants
The Big Bad Wolf
The Wise Little Hen
Goddess of Spring
The Tortoise and the Hare
The Golden Touch
Elmer Elephant
Three Little Wolves
Toby Tortoise Returns
Three Blind Mouseketeers
The Old Mill
The Ugly Duckling

The Silly Symphony Collection LP Record set from 2015 was a wonderful set with amazing audio restorations. It’s a real shame that they didn’t release a Blu-ray set along with it, but considering it’s an absolute miracle we got a record set of the soundtracks to all 75 shorts beautifully restored to 16 LPs and an MP3 download code (which has sadly since expired), I’m very thankful that the terrific set exists at all.

Man, not just Skeleton Dance missing, but none of the 'seasons' which might have been the next best known of the B&Ws.

Do the ones listed here appear to be remastered? My non-subscription to D+ is looking smarter and smarter every day.

Ten cartoons per disc reminds me of the old VHS days with only three shorts to a tape...

Disney could easily release the entire run of classic Mickey cartoons across 5-6 volumes if they were to up the quantity to 15-25 per disc. I'll pick this up just to show support, but please at least have lossless sound and quality encodes.

Even better - Disney dusts off 'Neon Mickey' and uses it in the intro:

(now we're getting into territory that only people 40+ are going to remember).

Yes, I remember all of them looking a bit more cleaned up than how they appeared on the Walt Disney Treasures sets, with the transfer of The Goddess of Spring being the most notable difference.

It's so odd how they don't have skeleton dance anywhere. They're selling a bunch of merch for it and it was a big part of their halloween fireworks show at disney world, yet no place to actually see it besides a SD version on youtube.

Sigh…. I just gave up and left the club. I don’t really want to get back in. I don’t even know what initial 4 titles I would pick at this point.

Think this is a retail release and not an exclusive

They've been doing these compilations of semi-connected cartoons since the 1980s, so obviously they keep making money with them. Money that no doubt will, in theory, help pay for HD and 4k and beyond successors-in-interest to the Walt Disney Treasures series. Obviously they want to see if the demand is still there before they dive into more of the deep cuts and commit to bringing out esoteric and un-PC content with the usual warnings while allotting restoration resources to cartoons that need it.

Nor do I sadly think that we’ll get many more black and white shorts. Disney + has been out over three years now and they still have just TWO Black and White shorts. One of which, Steamboat Willie is of course going to be included in this set.

I have a good feeling that we’ll want to hang on to our Walt Disney Treasures sets forever. I think that the only way that they’ll ever release all of the content from those sets on Blu-ray would be if they ever get another executive like Dick Cook that greatly cares about the history of the company.

As this disc is going to have two shorts not on Disney +, Figaro and Frankie and Bath Day. I hope that further volumes have shorts we haven’t seen HD transfers of. What I’m really hoping is that they release a Donald set that has at least a few shorts from Walt Disney Treasures: The Chronological Donald Volume Two. That volume had very poor transfers, with the exception of the World War II shorts as they were already restored for Walt Disney Treasures On the Front Lines, and Donald’s Tire Trouble is the only short on the set we’ve seen in HD thus far. I’d love to finally see shorts like Bellboy Donald, The Plastics Inventor, Contrary Condor, Duck Pimples, and Donald’s Double Trouble finally restored! (It’s a shame that the Disney Movie Club Exclusive Blu-rays didn’t include any Bonus Features until 2021, as I bet we would have seen Contrary Condor and Donald’s Double Trouble on the Saludos Amigos/The Three Caballeros and The Parent Trap 2018 Blu-rays as those shorts were included on their DVD releases in the 2000s.)
I fully agree minus the possibility in the future that A.) these shorts finally enter the public domain or B.) Disney sells them off. Outside of those possibilities, which I agree themselves are even hard to imagine right now, I also don't see the "From the Vault" shorts getting released ever again.

Just to confirm do you also not see the From the Vault shorts getting released again or do you think that some of them might? I just wanted to confirm if this as a typo or not.
