But it's an incoherent and overlong mess. I feel like it would make for a good double feature with Eyes of Laura Mars. Watching the extras right now and poor Craig Wasson is talking about how he has a good feeling about this movie being a breakthrough for his career.

That's how I felt watching it for the first time 2 years ago. I watched it again recently and didn't find it as bad as the first viewing. Main actor still felt lousy and that 360 shot on the beach is still hilarious. It's certainly a film that is more style over substance.

I can see why it's popular but personally it's nowhere near 'top DePalma'.

terrible? to me is just great! I love that movie; after watch the cover I never expect that was so great, a personal favorite from now, cult now for me.

Some of slasher, some of drama, some of erotism, frankie goes spot was great, some goth 80s vive, seriously great movie, craig wasson acting was great, they change many times, very well his role in the movie.

I always thought the kissing scene was extremely cheesy and maybe meant to be that way, but I remember reading somewhere that De Palma intended for it to be serious (but admitted that it failed in that regard). I think most De Palma fans who love the movie do so in spite of its failings. It may not be his most successful in terms of what he was going for, but I still think it's a lot of fun.

I really like "Body Double", and I was thrilled with Indicator's Blu-ray (even purchased one for my son when on sale).
I saw it on original theatrical release. I thought the lead actor was perfect: His character was much like many actors who are constantly struggling.

I’ve always thought that De Palma knew exactly what he was doing with Body Double, and that any awkwardness or silliness was very much intentional. I think it’s a great thriller, and sits up at the very top of this particular strand of his work for me.

I think De Palma is a very distinct love it/hate it artist. Some of his films I love obviously, others I do not care for. A rarity for a director(IMO), to make a viewer feel a connection with themselves with some films and yet, seem as a stranger on others.

Seems you're missing that it's intentionally cheesy, yes. Now whether you like that or not is a whole other matter. Personally I love it.

Itís definitely largely deliberate, doesnít particularly work for me outside of a handful of scenes (mall stalking, the Frankie number) but itís never terrible.

Well, it's DePalma, who rarely made a great film. Most of them bordered on terrible or campy, but had 1 or 2 cool sequences in them so people remember them more fondly than they actually are. His whole career is ripping off better directors, kinda like Tarantino, except at least Tarantino makes them his own.

Don't try to speak for others. I happen to like his films and not because they had "1 or 2 cool sequences" either.

So can I still get this 'bundle' deal for this month's movies direct from Indicator? If so, what do I do?

Does anyone know if Amazon prices on Indicator/Arrow/MoC will go to their regular prices on release or will they stay at prices like £18.49?

Not clear who they're price-matching but I did notice Second Run's Dawson City: Frozen Time dropped to £15.99 recently so perhaps they're matching TheEntertainmentStore? Unfortunately the only place still selling Indicator titles for the same price as HMV (i.e. £14.99) seems to be Base, unless HMV sort out stock issues with Sony in which case we could see Amazon price-matching them again.

Frustrating for some of these February titles as it's actually probably just as cheap to buy direct from Indicator right now. Handy in the case of the April announcements though, as I didn't hesitate to buy the bundle (I definitely want all four of those). Hoping things get sorted out by the time the May titles are announced...though I guess I don't mind paying an extra few quid for things like California Split and Birdy, whenever they do pop up.

sadly yes, I see now £18.49, also Amazon UK Scalping on, after some months they increase the price even for £22 etc. Of that way I possibly avoid amazon and start to buying direct from the label or other sources.

base.com are the best prices for Indicator titles that I could find. Some titles starting from £14.99.
I picked up Breakout the other week from base for £15.59.
