Default Worst Looking Good Movies

Like the title says, what are the ugliest/ worst looking good movies?

Captain America Civil War is a great movie but I really do not like the cinematography at all.

If a movie looks like shit, I generally don't like it. Film is a visual medium. Put some thought into the aesthetic.

But I mean generally, most digitally shot movies aren't terribly appealing and I've noticed it more and more lately. Perhaps as I've gone back and have largely watched older films this last year, it makes modern digitally shot films look like dogshit by comparison.

Zack Snyder's Justice League. Good movie but I don't like how it looks visually.

David Lynch's INLAND EMPIRE. Oh my God, what was he thinking?

Thomas Vinterberg's The Celebration (Festen). 100% intentional as part of the Dogme manifest, but anyway...

Gaspar Noe's Irreversible. 5 mins in and you can barely sit still while watching this.

Michael Mann's Public Enemies. Parts of that film look as if recorded with a digital camcorder set at the wrong framerate or shudder speed. Yikes, Mann.

Battlefield Earth AKA Dutch Angles Everywhere For No Apparent Reason.

The Sting looks like a very ugly, overly lit TV show for most of its run time.

Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory likewise.

You're talking to the President, Chairman & Secretary of the Snyder and HBO Defence League (inc the Anti WB Execs Club and the Union of Stop Mentioning Recorded Acts Of Harassment and Threats From Snyder Fans)

Zack Snyder's Justice League looks good. However, I wish Larry Fong would have shot the movie. Zack's best looking movies were all shot by Fong: 300, Watchmen, Sucker Punch, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Sigh. Every thread has to be turned into a ZSJL thread because of that repugnant mouth breather.

Feige has to be sore by now. I'm glad you were able to give him a break and chime in. Thanks.

For all the notoriety and fame Blair Witch Project has, I never liked the way it looked. I get that it's supposed to be rough on purpose, the characters being amateur filmmakers and such, but jeez. Can't stand the bland colors, the poor camera composition, or the video/sound quality.

Irreversible is not this way the entire way through. The camera shake decreases more and more as it goes on and eventually settles down. I'm actually curious to see how this works with the straight cut, since it'll seem like the film gets worse as it goes on.
