Custom Cover Art Thread

DO NOT REPOST CUSTOM COVER ART THAT IS NOT YOUR CREATION, HERE OR ELSEWHERE.

Several artists have decided to hand out each custom individually due to some people reposting art elsewhere and receiving credit for it. Please PM the individual artist if the file link is missing and patiently await a response, a thread post announcing the PM is not necessary but may be helpful.

Original Archived Thread

The old thread has evolved over time, originally it was a 'what would you like to see on blu' thread and people posted potential blu-ray releases with cover art on fake blu-ray cases. Slowly the thread matured and was merged with others (I believe) to create what is now a place to post legitimate custom covers that can be used to replace the cover that comes with your blu-ray purchase. The thread is quite long so bear with me as I go through it all and organize it. Some of the earlier posters may not have full fledged replacement covers, please feel free to ask in this thread (the person may still be around and checking in on this thread) or PM the user associated with the desired case cover. Once again, I apologize for any inconvenience caused during the organizational process of this list but it is a large task and will take some time.


I have split the list into two portions. The first list is a list of custom replacement covers, containing the user associated with the creation as well as a link to where the custom cover is posted about and a link to where the full cover is stored. If no external link is provided the cover may not be finished yet or it may not have been posted, try posting in the thread and asking the associated user. The second is a list of mock/custom blu-ray cases and covers. The original intention of the original thread was to create custom blu-ray cases for potential releases, these usually only have the front of the cover displayed. Although not useful directly as replacement covers, they can be used as a stepping stone towards a custom cover allowing the requester to accurately define what kind of custom cover he or she is looking for.

Tips for searching

• Use the Search this Thread feature to search this thread exclusively, found next to thread tools under the page jump navigation links.
• Everything spelled correctly?
• Select show posts (not threads), this makes it easier to sort through the ones talking about the customs and the actual custom cover art posts.
• If the search screws up and shows nothing, try a different wording or maybe more terms; in my experience to broad of results will end up being invalid searches

Wow, looks nice. So should we continue to post our covers and discuss them in here now? Maybe we could do something also with templates/tools and tips for making and printing covers, since that got asked quite a bit in the other thread.

I think the better idea would have been to have made a new topic like this just how you have done it but kept the other thread open, so people creating covers can still post their work and other members can suggest things that could be changed etc. Then when the artist is happy they can submit their final version to here where it can be archived and ordered (just like you have been doing)

I like this idea too, because many of the early covers on that thread were just rough ideas, not even full front & back covers.

I'd like to find a 13 Ghosts Blu Ray case art to fit a U.S. Blu Ray Case. Can anyone help me out?
See I recently bought this [URL="https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=1376"] U.K. version but I know it will arrive in a larger case. I want to transfer it to a smaller U.S. Blu Ray Case and get a custom case art cover for it.

I think keeping it all in one place will make for a healthier thread. I understand the want and need to separate things out for clarity but if you divide things up in too many places then people sometimes have a hard time figuring out where to look and other times just stop looking at one thread or the other. I have ample space at the top of this thread to maintain organization as well as create smaller lists or FAQs about printing/using/designing custom covers.

Keep posting here. And I think I have more than enough room at the top of this thread now.


And as an aside, I am thinking of splitting the list into two parts; all still maintained at the top of this thread. The first part will be for custom replacement covers, full versions (like the original thread turned into). The second part will be for mock/custom cases, basically images of cases from early on in the original thread or future ones that are just wishful thinking on the user's part and usually only contained an front view of the blu-ray case with mock/custom cover.

I am splitting the lists right now, I plan on maintaining pace with this thread and going through the archived thread in order. I would like to keep the originals at least for now; until a large enough list of true replacement covers is created I don't want to get rid of it. For example we don't need all the original Transformers mock cases once the replacement list contains a few Transformers replacement covers. I think that seems logical.
