The post office here must be really stupid! The package was in my town at the post office less than 10 mins away from my house. It said the it was out for delivery. A hour or so later says its in transit in another town an hour away! How do you screw something like this up?!

I guess my post office is taking a cue from yours. I live in PA. I checked the tracking and now says it's in Washington DC. How does a package end up out state?

My McIntosh Blu-ray player is being a little bastard. Basically the loading tray likes to close on its own as I'm loading a disc which = disc getting jammed and scratched. Not sure what is causing it. It will close with just a tap of the finger which is crazy sensitive. I contacted McIntosh but idk what they'll say at this point considering its age and lack of parts.

Was expecting two packages today from our good friends at USPS. Only one arrived but both were marked as delivered but at different times.

I hope this is a case of lazy postman and I get it tomorrow. In the past I’ve had packages marked as delivered hours before they’re dropped off.

My gut tells me it was delivered to the wrong address though. They really suck. I went on vacation last month and did the online mail hold. Idiots still delivered mail and a package left on my porch got soaked. Thankfully it was double boxed and the item survived.

Google Chrome is pissing me off today. I can't get anything to work correctly. I have rebooted the PC twice, checked for all updates and ran a virus scan and nothing. It just keeps locking up and lagging. If it was any slower it would be my dad driving.

It's not a screwup - that's actually how they operate. I've mailed stuff out to people in the next borough (NYC to Queens) and each time the packages have been routed through New Jersey! Computers make these logistics decisions and the computers think they've sorted out the best routes. It's like GPS. It doesn't always get you the quickest route and sometimes actually makes you get lost!

20 years ago, I worked at a mom and pop grocery store.
And we had pick and mix candy which you put in a bag and it was weighed at the cashier.

I am hurt, I am angry, I am upset. I lost my sister 3 weeks ago to a drug overdose. It just feels so weird that I lost a sibling, now I only have one sister left. But I have to be strong. Today is my dad's birthday, I lost him back in 2021 due to cancer.

Sorry for your loss. When I lost my father (also to cancer), I was back in the gym the next day. It definitely helps.

Losing loved ones is never easy. I know. The pain doesn't heal. You get use to it kind of. You don't necessarily move on with your life. Life just becomes different.

The sun now comes up at around 5am and at night it's cool outside. However, I can't sleep with the bedroom window open because I have a large number of birds that live around my house and they all get very chirpy and loud at 5am and they wake me up if I have the window open
