Default Ready At Dawn purchased by Facebook/Oculus Studios

I didn't see this posted anywhere else. This really disappoints me! I feel like any studio being acquired by Facebook, Google, or Amazon is a waste of talent!

I enjoyed their GoW games, The Order was disappointing, but it had potential imo

I wonder if Sony will do anything with the IP

Shame, they'll just go to waste now.

The Order was a good game but flawed. It's one of the best looking games ever made.

As a previous developer of PlayStation games, I think it is. And I agree that whatever they produce in the future is unlikely to make waves because of the limited player base.

Still, if it gives the studio some guarantee over their future then that's no bad thing given how many studios have closed over the last few years.

Yeah, The Order was a spectacular looking game, they were just a few elements off it being an absolute gem

I found the stylistic choice to force playing of the entire game in a letterbox view to be very distracting. Letterbox and OAR for films and such, absolutely! For gaming, not so much. As always, YMMV.

Eh, they tried something different. To my knowledge no other game has attempted that before, at least not completely from start to finish. I give them credit for at least doing something new. Like you, I don't think it worked but hey, live an learn.

The Evil Within did that as well, but it got patched out later
