UAB Flash Drive vs USB DRIVE vs Harddrive(fat32)

Whats the difference between usb flash drives ,reg. usb drives and harddrives formatted (fat32)?

I wanna get bluray player with usb slot
iam wondering can i hookup these (Iam not sure about usb drives)and play from he drives thru player?
Is it Possible....!!!!!!

you can play things from a USB on a PS3... So I would imagine it's the same.

Are you saying your Blu-ray drive has a USB driver built in and can power up and talk to a USB flash drive? In general the USB port on an external Blu-ray drive is to simply act as another drive for the PC not as a PC to be able to drive another USB device. I don't think there is a difference between a USB drive and a USB Flash drive, just the name but if there is a difference it probably is just the way the USB drive is formatted and may have some operating drivers built in that upload to your PC. Mostly meaningless since you would be able to format it and wipe it clean, etc.

It is possible to have a portable disc drive unit that reads USB and or memory cards; I haven't seen one with Blu-ray but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist. I have a DVD version of that, Sony Multi-Function DVD recorder which I have not used yet. If it used a Blu-ray disc then it might be what you are describing. Eventually that kind of device will be available if not already for a steep price. It is designed to offload video and stills from a camera and create a DVD video disc, probably not what you are going after.

The more I read your post the less sure I understand what you are really asking about.

i have 2.5 harddrive formateed to FAT32 with Hdfiles
If i hook my usb HARDDRIVE am i able to watch by streaming the HD files thru bluray player...!!!!!!
