Seriously, there are female Orcs. Thats a legit Tolkein thing. Some of the other things being shoved into this show? Nope, 100% "added by Amazon for reasons".

In the books both Uruk-hai and Orcs breed like "the children of Iluvatar" (=elves and men).
The Uruk-hai creation scene in the movie is an invention of the screenwriters.

Dae female orcs get maternity leave? Who looks after the weans if they don't? Are there nurseries for baby orcs?

Hope the Amazon show explores these questions and helps expand the Tolkien Cinematic universe.
