Default Thoughts on LG HU70LAB?

I知 looking to purchase a 4k projector under $2k that has a small form factor and is a laser projector. I値l be using in a mostly darker room and want to stick with a laser projector as I値l be using this as my main viewing display for a few hours a day on average. Does anyone have experience with and thoughts on this projector? I知 not a video perfectionist, just looking for a large solid 4k display at a reasonable price. I値l be using a 120 Silver Ticket display.

The caveat is that you get what you pay for. Some times you can find this on sale on LG's website for $1300 (not often, not long). They come in two colors white, and black. One is "newer" with the only difference being the color. Often Ebay has them available for $800 used/returned. I have yet to see one in the wild, but I've read up quite a bit about them. It seems that they are pretty awesome, but it depends on if you get a good one. Hit or miss! If you buy one, make sure that you can return it if you don't like it. I would have liked to try it, but personally, at this point in time, unless there was a smoking deal, I would wait for the next generation whether it is LG or EPSON.

My personal experience with LG products is that if it is not a TV, you might want to look elsewhere. Here is a list of the LG items that I have bought over the years that have outright failed:

Electric Hot Plate $300...dead within a month
Mobile Phone $250.....~2008...never worked correctly
Refridgerator $2500 dead with in 1.5 years
Stove $1500 within 3 years multiple points of failure and electronic issues (self-repaired majority of them)
