I've just finished up with a masters of architecture degree - we have one at my school. Students create a file and the 3d printer goes to work.

I don't think this really fits strange or humorous just technology advancing.

Most impressive! After seeing the example above, I realized it can be used help illustrate difficult to see mathematical concepts such what we find when talking about knot theory.
