Default 35-40 foot hdmi 1.4 cable

hey guys im ordering an optoma hd66, it has the capability to do 3-d(im holding my reserve on the 3-d its self) but instead of buying a 1.3 now and wasting my money on a 1.4 later on doesnt make sense.
or are these cables still in development

not to sure. but the problem im thinking about is that you have to have 1.4 hdmi cables and not to mention buying a new receiver that takes 1.4 as well so you can enjoy the surround sound. so im jus waiting till they release 1.4 receivers till i buy my 1.4 hdmi cables cus i cant do without great audio.

Dajaga, if you bought the 1.4 now that would run you about 1000 usd per 4 or 6 foot. Might as well get the 1.3 cables they arent to expensive as is.

Run 2 Cat6 cables and use Cat6 to HDMI Baluns.

HDMI Cable, Home Theater Accessories, HDMI Products, Cables, Adapters, Video/Audio Switch, Networking, USB, Firewire, Printer Toner, and more!

When HDMI 1.4 becomes more readily available, you can upgrade the baluns and not have to worry about running any new cables.

Those are interesting. On the back, is it just a punch-down connector?
