It's been around a week since I contacted Universal via email (about the lack of the promised remastered blu-rays in the new 1080p set) and there's been no response. And I recall that at least two other members had previously emailed them as well. It seems that Universal UK are gonna completely ignore this issue. Not impressed with them.

I have received the following from Universal:

Universal Pictures Home Entertainment UK (UPHE UK) has identified an issue with the home entertainment release of Back to the Future Trilogy 35th Anniversary Edition on Blu-rayTM made available on October 12, 2020. The initial run of the film’s Blu-ray release inadvertently included previously available remastered film content instead of the newest remastered versions of the films as previously promoted, due to a production error. Our goal is to always deliver the best possible product to our consumers. To that end, a replacement program is being established in the UK to ensure that those who have purchased this recent release of Back to the Future Trilogy on Blu-ray receive a corrected disc. This does not affect any 4K UHD releases which all include the correct discs already.

To receive updated Back to the Future Trilogy discs please email the following information:
• Your full postal address and name
• A copy of your sales receipt or a photo of the discs and the packaging

Please send the above requested information to the email address below:

Wrong mono track - not the original mono but a stereo fold-down.

It's a nice upgrade, the new one looks much finer.

Just checked my German back to the future blu-ray set. I can confirm it includes the new remastered discs. One word to describe the transfers WOW!!!. Much better than the old transfers. Only Just skipped through them but im impressed. All 4 discs come in a amery case which i do prefer i didnt like the uk package. The sleave is in german but the discs are in English. Very happy with the purchase

Guess I spoke too soon. Received the same email. I'll start singing Universal's praises once I receive the three properly remastered 1080p discs. Till then I'm ambivalent. btw Hopefully won't take too long.

I sent a second email requesting the replacement blu ray discs. Will universal send confirmation of shipping or will they just turn up in the post without any contact?

After the first email i sent they replied with the following automated message below: so sent I second email confirming i live in the UK even though they saw my uk address in the first email. Also bit strange they said it was an audio error, actually the whole email was weird, don’t know if anyone else got the same?

Dear Customer,

We apologise for the audio error on Back To The Future, however we are only able to accept requests from customers who purchased their products from UK retailers and which are certified for UK and ROI. Please contact local UPHE office for your territory for further information.’’

Kind regards,
Sony DADC on behalf of Universal Pictures UK

I received the same email despite giving a UK address and attaching my Amazon UK order invoice proving I purchased it [and live] in the UK...
They don't seem to know what they're on about

Yeah, I also got an automated reply that was talking about an audio fault. It doesn't exactly fill you with confidence does it? Now I'm wondering if I really will receive all three remastered discs.

I emailed them back pointing out that I do live in the UK and asking them to confirm that they will send me the discs but as yet I've heard nothing back.

Keeping my fingers crossed that they will just send them out (along with the replacement Psycho disc) when available.

Has anyone actually received a successful confirmation from them yet ?

i got the same auto reply from the disc replacement email so i emailed the original email address about the problem & got this back today "I’ve asked the team to amend the auto reply, thanks for flagging. Yes it is the right address though and you’ll be sent new discs as soon as they are available"

Last weekend I picked this up cheap in a local shop (the Netherlands), it does include the new discs.
