Thumbs up The Hut/Zavvi now offering FREE international shipping (ENDED)

A new offer has appeared on The Hut as of today:

Not much information is available regarding the details of the deal however I have personally gone through the checkout stages to confirm the deal is live and it has worked successfully. Details I have:
  • No minimum spend limit unlike Amazon UK's recent minimum £25 spend to gain free shipping for certain international customers
  • No details regarding whether this is a limited deal
  • No details regarding what items this is limited to though works for all Blu-ray titles I tested
  • Their FAQ section makes no mention of this deal
This deal is also available on sister sites of The Hut such as Zavvi. Please note that The Hut/Zavvi do not remove VAT, however if their prices are lower than Amazon's or you are after one or more titles which total less than £25 this will be very handy for some international customers. Hopefully this is a sign that Amazon's recent free shipping policy is encouraging some competition which definitely favours us as the consumer!

That offer has been on their front page for several weeks now.
But where did you see at Zavvi?

It's not noted on the Zavvi front page or in their FAQ but on each of the product pages it states "FREE Delivery on All Orders" and if you take an item through the checkout it has no shipping applied.

The Hut Group stores have had fantastic offers lately. Within the last few weeks I've ordered 6 Blu-rays from The Hut and 2 from Zavvi. Today I received personal coupons from TheHut, mostly 10% or 15% off.

Shipping is back up to £2.49 per disc. I was getting ready to place an order this morning, but no such luck.

I placed on order for a Blu-ray at the end of February and have not received anything yet. Super slow shipping. It's the second and last time I buy from Zavvi.

I was hoping they'd leave the free shipping until the end of March so that I could order some Disney movies in the upcoming BOGOF for cheap...guess I'll have to give my money to Amazon again

I just did, I placed an order for 3 BFI Flipsides at Amazon and it was almost £10 cheaper even with shipping than it would have been at Zavvi/The Hut.

I sent them a letter of complaint and they gave me some garbage about the economy. They might have better luck with that if they combined large orders rather than shipping out each item individually.

Really? I tried adding different Blu-rays to my shopping cart and it still shows "Total Delivery Cost: £0.00". Same at both The Hut and Zavvi. And the product pages also say free delivery on all orders.

And I also cannot complain about the shipping speed.

You have to get to the section of the checkout after logging in and confirming the address. Maybe Europe is still free, but the US isn't.

The shipping fee indeed appears during the checkout. But still, it's only £0.99 for European countries which is far less than in HMV, Amazon, etc. Good prices, discount coupons and low shipping fee will keep me using The Hut Group stores.

I got free shipping to the US for my order of All The Boys Love Mandy Lane (BD) and Paranormal Activity: Tokyo Nights (DVD). The Hut charged me about $7.35 US for Mandy Lane.

Zavvi and The Hut are a complete waste of time. I've ordered from both sites countless times and countless times I've had orders cancelled from their end. Needless to say I don't bother with them anymore.

Both the same company anyways.

Funny you should say that, I just received my super cheap BFIs from them today and I'm a very happy camper.
