Pluto shorts will be on the Lady and the Tramp II blu-ray. It doesn't say if they are HD or what ones yet, but to my assumption they will be.

I know, nice to see you back, we talked about this on the other thread, and I'm just waiting to see if there in hd or not. There already under the future possibilities tab

Let me just tell you that Future Hiawatha was not on the Pocahontas BD I bought and that I don't think it's likely it will be on the US version.

are these restored in high definition? or just transfer from the DVD in standard definition?
I wish Disney would releasde the Walt Disney treasures series with all these shorts in bluray, restored, like the tom and jerry and looney tunes cartoons.

just some suggestions. it would be REALLY helpful if you added whether the shorts are restored, in HD or SD etc.

plus (and that's entirely up to you) wouldn't it be easier to make a list of all the shorts and just colourize based on your "key"?

thirdly (and after that you can curse me all you like ), these 3 are stuck together

you mean "Little Hiawatha" right? it will be on the US edition, it has been confirmed. The international versions have dropped it and put it in Pocahontas 2 (they didn't have anything else to put there obviously )

No I'm not cursing you, infact I thank you for catching one of my errors, that was just from trying to save the original post from google cache the color key was lost and I had to go in and redo that color key and they though everything was on the same line. The original post (the first reply) said I am only doing HD ones, and I am doing a list, and organizing by series, don't worry I'm not cursing you I am just explaining stuff you might of missed. Sometimes I just skim through threads as well (not saying you do).

ok. i did skim the HD part though...

my point is that some (maybe a lot) of these are not true HD. Grass and the Hoper for instance is just upscaled. maybe it'd be useful to add info like that.

So, Disney is apparently rerecording the musical scores to their short subjects and doing new restorations of them in the process

http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118055212

They've done 60 shorts so far. That's a set right here. Do like a modified Looney Tunes model and mix up characters and eras.

Did I read correctly about them using the original notes to rescore, it's almost 3 am as I'm typing this and I just don't want to be seeing things. Your lucky that I didn't reply back with a post just complaining about have a laugh! Real lucky

I really wish they would bring back traditionally animated shorts back to theaters again. Im glad they've been doing some sort of shorts before recent Disney movies, but I really miss the traditional animation for Mickey shorts and such. Btw, what ever happened to Lassetter saying there will always be at least 1 hand drawn feature in production, all the upcoming films from feature animation are CGI!

The last hand drawn films didn't do as well as they'd hoped. Winnie wasn't even an original film.. They have, apparently, pushed the next hand drawn feature back and that one will be created with the same technique that was used in Paperman. Musker and Clements will direct this. There are also some rumors about a full length Mickey Mouse movie.
