Looks pretty good to me, and bodes well for a BD release, though Don and Synapse have top-shelf quality control regardless.

This is going to look fantastic in full widescreen for the first time ever. I can't wait for the blu-ray.

Yeah, if that's how gorgeous the DVD looks, the blu-ray ought to be breathtaking. Seeing it for the first time in 2.35:1 is gonna be like looking at a totally different movie. I remember that's how I felt when I first saw Carpenter's THE THING in widescreen in the late 90s when it first hit VHS in it's correct aspect ratio.

I've never seen CREATURE - does it lean more toward hardcore sci-fi/horror or is it Roger Corman-esque cheesy complete with cardboard/eggshell sets? Good EFX?

If Malone indeed owns the rights for it, then Synapse should contact MGM for a scan from the negative (as indicated elsewhere).

It's about as cheesy and dumb as it can get, but still a masterpiece if comparing to garbage like The Dark Knight.

No one can find it, as been stated hundreds of times already, including by the director.

I should clarify, Bill from Code Red initially stated it, but it is followed up by jameson281.

What kind of source is that? Just because some member said it doesn't make it so. Read the first page in this thread. The director specifically states:

William Malone: All these distributors who are ripping us off think itís public domain and itís not. The copyright is still good on it. I am putting out an official authorized version, which will be in high definition and widescreen. Most people donít even remember now that the film was actually anamorphic; it was shot in scope. The transfer looks really good! The only reason that it exists is the original camera negative is lost, but at the time I bought the actual print from the lab. I have the first generation of the camera originals and thatís what we used to make the transfer.

What kind of source? A reliable one, if you know who he is.

I'm sure Don will pull out all the stops to insure this is a very good looking blu-ray, like he usually does. And I still say he'll put out a combo. Though, I don't think you'll see it until later in the year. Too soon and people who bought the standard DVD from DD will feel ripped off.

I won't feel ripped off. I preordered the DVD from DD without hesitation knowing Malone was shopping the film around. It's a blind purchase but I'm confident I'll like this movie. And if it's really good I will be more than happy to double dip when it comes out on Blu.

I've ordered a few times from DarkDel, and while the $11-$13 shipping kinda sucks, I figure it's offset by the price of actual shipping, materials, and care.

Interesting, so the DVDs you order from DD come autographed?

Shipping for TITAN FIND was only 6. Disregard the email confirmation. I ordered it and they did NOT take out 13 for shipping, it was only 6 taken out.
