I'm in doubt...Pre-order the 3D version or buy the (cheaper) extended collector's edition.

I've only seen Avatar once in theaters. Choices, choices

Any photos around, mine should be shipped from the UK soon but I won't get it for a week or two. Really want to admire that slip

I will try and get the Laptop out Later and Post some, if I can.

Just tried the 3D, and frankly it's Astounding.

Edit: just noticed I have a Damaged Slip, looks like there's a Cut slightly right of the T on the Spine. Very Annoying.

I can't really grasp the lenticular effect but I will take your word for it that it looks amazing. Thanks for the upload, I appreciate it

I'll stick with my Panasonic exclusive version that I've had for over a year now.

Ah, so the 2D and 3D versions are on the same disc then?

Not a fan of the movie (though, naturally, I loved it on release!), and I didn't get the 2D version. I rented it, however, and thought the image was awesome.
However, having just gotten a 3DTV, it makes sense to pick the film up now. Even if it is just a barebones release.

Had a nightmare with this pulling off the paper certificate on the front leaving dirty glue marks.

Default 2D Version Vs 2D Version on both seperate releases.

I picked up this 3D edition recently and I still have the standard edition.
I am wondering as the 3D and 2D versions are both on the same disc (on the 3D version) does the standalone 2D bluray have a better byte rate because the feature has the whole disc to itself, or is there any noticeable difference in PQ?

I'm curious as I want to free up shelf space but not sure if I still need to hang-on to both editions.
