Yeah, I found this pretty enjoyable ; it was a lot better than the first one! It had very good 3D too, considering it was a post-conversion.

Looks like there'll be an Extended Cut.

Good find! And judging by the differences in audio commentary time length for theatrical and extended, it looks to be almost 13 minutes longer

Like the first, I enjoyed this one, though the price is going to have to drop some before I go for it!

It's part of the standard release... extended cut will be on the 2D Blu-ray, so get the usual 3D/2D Combo and you'll be fine.

The movie was highly enjoyable without extension but there is a lot in the trailers that wasn't in the theatrical cut! 13 more minutes of action? I'm in!

Does anybody knows why the commentary is absent from the uk version?

I'm guessing it's because the standard UK 2D release is the extended cut and they either couldn't, or didn't want to edit the commentary to fit.

I'm a bit miffed that the commentary is absent also. The extended version could have been done with branching, then we could have had the commentary on the theatrical. or stick the commentary on the 3D version, which is the theatrical anyway.

No. There are NO editions with both cuts on the same disc.

It is one or the other. The US release is the theatrical cut only, with the extended version being a retailer exclusive.

Incidentally, very few territories would appear to have received the extended cut.

The UK 3D disc has the commentary, obviously because it's the theatrical cut.

I'm pretty sure they did.

What I'm not sure of, is whether or not the 2D disc bundled in with the 3D disc, is theatrical or extended.

I'm pretty sure they did.

I've just checked, there is No commentary on either the 3D or 2D UK Discs, however the Extended cut IS on the 2D Disc.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that. That's weird that the commentary isn't on the 3D disc.

I agree completely, bit of a rip off if I'm being honest, mines the Steelbook version, I've no idea if the normal version has one, but I doubt it very much.
