I was wondering if they were going to include the Curse of Chucky since it comes out in September, but I just noticed it's going to be a DTV release. I've only seen a few of these, and they're a little cheesy but pretty entertaining.

Wow, that's an unexpected surprise, especially since the first is MGM and the rest are Universal.

If it's a good enough price, I will buy this for Childs play 1-3 and Curse...

Amazon lists "The Curse" for October 8, also.

Agree, even though I have CP1 on Blu, I'd love to upgrade the others from DVD and Curse, well hadn't realised this was ready and due release? Heard of a remake on IMDB a while ago.

The Curse of Chucky, wile not the remake, is the sixth entry into the franchise.

It's a direct-to-video film that is apparently returning to horror, as opposed to the comedy path its taken with the 4th and 5th entries.

Wow. Didn't see this coming! Hmm. I don't really want Bride & Seed, but I may have to deal with it... Lol

Excellent scoop! Locked my pre-order in immediately. Talk about a great Halloween season to look forward to with the entire "Child's Play" and "Friday the 13th" franchises making their way to Blu-ray. Damn it feels good to be a horror fan these days

Curse of Chucky is also ignoring the plots of Bride & Seed and picks up years after the events in Child's Play 3.....

Well, someone is very happy right now!

I hope they don't use the crappy DVD set art, and they do the Unrated version of Seed. But it's pretty cheap, especially since it includes Curse of Chucky. And I adore all of them, and I'm sure I'll love the new one, regardless of any continuity it's in. In my mind, I'm sure I'll just file it between Bride and 3.

Yes!!! I love that we're seeing a substantial amount of studios working out legal problems to share distribution and allow for sets like these to come out whole (ex: Terminator Anthology, Mad Max Trilogy, Friday the 13th: The Complete Collection).

That's idiotic, given BRIDE is one of (if not the best) films in this series.

SEED though...that one DID suck.

It takes Chucky back to the "Good Guy" he used to be

but in all fairness, I don't believe they ever said it ignores it, it just simply takes place before Bride, and after 3, but there doesn't seem to be much room between the two in continuity of the series as a whole. But, in "movie world", I think it works out fine.
