I think that given date will move to Early January 2015. Being a Paramount/Warner Bros release, I have seen this more often. Like this year and with Zodiac back in 2013. There is not even a backcover yet.

I stated earlier, that the new date according to warner is Feb. 3rd. This is reflected on Amazon.ca already.

edit: Barnes and Noble reflects it too:

Why was this speech from JFK the first thing I thought of when I heard this?

Some people say I'm crazy. Southern caricature seeking higher office. There's a simple way to determine if I am paranoid. Ask the two men who profited most from the assassination, former President Johnson and your new President, Nixon, to release the 51 CIA documents pertaining to Lee Oswald and Jack Ruby. Or the secret CIA memo on Oswald's activities in Russia that was destroyed while being photocopied. These documents are yours. The people's property. You pay for it. But as the government sees you as children who might be too disturbed to face this reality or because you might lynch those involved you cannot see these documents for another 75 years.

I'm in my 40's so I'll have "shuffled off this mortal coil" by then. But I'm telling my eight-year-old son to keep himself physically fit so that one glorious September morning, in 2038 he can go to the National Archives and learn what the CIA and FBI knew.

They may push it back then. It may become a generational affair. Questions passed from parent to child. But someday, somewhere, someone may find out the damn truth. We better. Or we might just as well build ourselves another government, like the Declaration of Independence says to, when the old one don't work. Just a bit farther out West.

I thought I was being dramatic, and just kidding around... but damn... I was right...we're really up to May 2015.

OK. Let's look at all the delays.

Officially announced on 12/13/13 that it was coming 4/15/14.
Then 10/14/14.
Then 12/9/14.
Then 2/3/15.
Then 5/26/15.
Then 5/5/15.

Competent!!!!

Kind of reminds me of Amazon's listing for Hunter S. Thompson's The Mutineer! At least they haven't reached the decade mark yet on this one.

Amazon needs to update their pre-order page. It still shows it as coming out next week. I imagine at least a few people planning to get it for Christmas and being bummed by the big wait.

Ooooooohhhh so after needing 17 months and four delay dates to get this out, they figured 5/26 was too far?
"Guys, May 26th is out of the question. That's too far away and too long of a wait. How about May 5th?'

This is officially crazy. I love Crowe, but whoever's behind this release is seriously incompetent. And I'm not even complaining about the wait, per se. If the release needs work, it needs work. Fine. Dandy. But for God's sake, if it was THIS freaking far from being REMOTELY close to complete, then DON'T announce it so prematurely! I mean what the heck is WITH this thing? I'm beginning to think we'll see True Lies and The Abyss in 4K before this thing streets in 1080p. :smh:

My guess is, Paramount / Warner announced it, and then it turned out Crowe and company wanted to do new stuff.
