Default JVC DLA-X30 Warning Lights?

I get Red - Orange - and red blinking 5 times in a row. It happened after i reinserted the hdmi cable while turned on. Some static electricity happened and now those lights are permanent.

As i understand it first red led just means standby. Second orange light lamp replacement. Not sure about the five blinks on the last red one (max is 4 in the manual).

Did the static shock really kill the lamp or is it something more sinister?

I get no fan noise or clicking.. It's completely silent.

It worked fine before all this.

Thanks.

Ok that sucks.

I would let it sit idle or off for a while, unplug completely. Then turn it back on and if possible run it in high altitude mode or with fan in high mode.

In the past, running the fan helped my machine avoid a bulb error that included shut down and the blinking light.

If that doesn't work, I would unplug, carefully re-seat the bulb, then try again. Then let it sit unplugged for a bit, give one last chance, and otherwise call a JVC service center.

Good luck man. Sorry to hear.

Thanks. I'll try calling JVC Denmark on Monday. Leaving it of overnight didn't solve it and it can't turn on.

I found this post (only one on the web. ) about my problem: http://www.avsforum.com/forum/24-dig...s-5-times.html Seems i fried the processor board. 450$. And my lamp is on the way out as well.

Took the lamp out and it looks intact. So it's properly the board. I hope the warrenty covers some of it. At the very least the time the technician has to work on it.

Damn. Typically my luck, just got the room neat and tidy. Well it's only time and money, not the end of the world.

Not much of an update i can give yet mate. I only found one forum post on the entire web about my problem. Sent it off to a repair center (should be on it's way now). I'll properly know more before the weekend. If it's a replacement cpu board that's at least 450$ (electronics are more expensive in Denmark than the US). A power board is less expensive at 300$. But with tax and man hours that could cost me even more.

But as it is right now im just guessing based on stuff i've read on the net (and US prices). So i don't know anything for certain yet.

@ spaceape: I've got the same problem with my X30 .........

Is your X30 now repaired? Do you know, what the problem was? The cpu board or another board?

Greetings (from Germany)

Yes i got it repaired. It was the "PC0210303U9 PROC. PWB ASSY" that got a electric shock. That's the cpu/processor board.

This is the error i got:

The whole deal ended up costing me 1437$ (938$ for the replacement card and the rest was extra fees and vat). Luckily my insurance covered it so im pretty happy about that but it certainly taught me a lesson about watching what i do in a static and dusty environment.

Hello, yes me. When I press the power button nothing happens to my JVC DLA-X3. The standby LED is continuously red, the lamp led is continuously orange and the warning LED is flashing /blinking 6 times. Does anybody know whats wrong?

I have a jvc rs40u, which is the same as x3, i think. Ive had it repaired under warranty in 2014 and in early 2016 i tried to turn and nothing started except for the led warning lights. I rarley even used this projector, maybe1200 hour since installed in 2011. I replaced the bulb and still not even trying to boot up. Are the fans supposed to come on immediately upon pressing the power button? Because my fans arent running. I kinda gave up hope.
