Arrow Screenshot Comparisons

I thought this would be a good idea till caps-a-holic.com starts posting them.

I like this idea, but I don't know if anyone has the ability to do it yet

Looking forward to them though.

Anyone who has a good way to get real screenshots please let me know. I'm looking into it for review purposes. For my review of The Martian 4K the best I could do was take pictures of my tv screen lol. Mostly as a placeholder until I can find a real way.

If you could do a comparison and pause it at the exact second with the bluray with the hdtv under the same settings taken with a high resolution camera it would be better than nothing.

I've posted pictures I took with my camera on my review for now. But they are not ideal. Even at full size the camera just can't do the quality justice. Maybe I need a better camera ><

Yeah, it's hard to get a comparison with off screen shots.

I've never taking screencaps myself because I don't have a BD dirve in my computer.

I did read that apparently PC drives would be update-able to play UHDBD but I haven't heard anything recently.

Even if we can use a disc in a bd-xl drive, you would need to break the copy protection to get caps

Exactly. Even if folks could get the PC to read them they'd still need to be ripped to actually make the caps, and without any such programs available (yet) it's gonna be a very tricky road to getting proper UHD caps out into the wild. But I'm sure that top men are working on it, possibly via other methods, oh yes...

Actually we can't...

The new format has THREE different protections:

AACS 2.0 (Easy to crack)
UHD BD-ROM Mark (very difficult)
Ultra HD BD+ (medium)

Current BD-XL Drives are not compatible, somebody already tried....

FBI will catch if you cracked hacking the copy protection systems.

Fine 200,000 or 10 years jail.

Goodbye!
