Default IFC Midnight

I haven't seen any IFC Midnight specific releases so I thought I'd start a thread on it.

Last year upon recommendations I bought The Pact and The Babadook and have been picking up various IFC Midnight releases since.

I can say I loved both the ones I mentioned and The Hallow. I also have #Horror coming in the mail.

Which IFC Midnight movies do you own and which movies would you recommend for others?

I really enjoyed the remake of Maniac. Also Haunter and Proxy. I see Proxy is released through MPI, but is marked as part of the IFC Midnight series. I would also check out some of the Dark Sky Films as they are released through MPI as well and are similar to those released under the IFC Midnight banner.

I forgot about the Shout Factory releases. I would recommend Backcountry and Wyrmwood.

The Maniac remake was really good as is The Hollow. I have some other IFC Midnight titles that are good but they're DVD only like Glacier.

100% "Baskin" when (if?) it get's released later this year. Great film with a very Clive Barker/Hellraiser esque vibe about it.

Undocumented and Would You Rather were two I really loved that don't receive enough attention.

Even though it's not horror, Premature is a great little teen comedy.

I noticed with the movies I own some are released through Scream Factory and some are released through MPI, I'm guessing it was a licensing deal. I wanted to get wyrmwood but few stores in my area have a solid Blu-ray collection. I'll probably pick it up soon. I've seen Backcountry and I liked it but it felt like a one time watch for me.

I also plan to get Hellions, it looks like something I would get.

Has anyone seen the Harvest and is it any good?

I forgot that Hellions was IFC Midnight. That one was good as well. I have the Harvest, but I have not watched it yet. I do like Michael Shannon though. I may pop it in in the next couple days and report back.

I really liked The Harvest but reviews are mixed. It's kind of like one of those early '90s domestic thrillers in the wake of Fatal Attraction. If you liked those, you should enjoy it.

Yeah The Hellions was released on DVD/Blu earlier this year. I want to see The Harvest since it has Michael Shannon, I enjoy most of the stuff he's done. I'll probably get this one soon as well. I've seen copies on Amazon for cheap prices

I want to see Contracted but I can't find it at a decent price (my local FYE recently had a used copy at 22.99 for a DVD) I actually have the second one but I haven't watched it yet since I have yet to watch the first one

Another IFC midnight release I have is The Pact 2, I liked it but I enjoyed the first one a lot more than the second one

I bought #Horror recently and I found that one to be rather unusual. I didn't hate it but I didn't like it.
I bought Hellions and it's arriving to my house Thursday (according to Amazon, for me it's always the day before or the day after)
Even though I've read several negative reviews, I preordered the new Cabin Fever. I own the other 3 so this is mainly to complete the collection

Almost Human is a very cool IFC Midnight release. I recommend that one for sure.

I agree with #Horror. I blind bought that one and didn't like it too much. But I can't say that I hate it either. It was definitely weird. I'd also like to add that I blind bought the Hallow and enjoyed that one.

Almost every IFC midnight movie I own has been a blind buy

My local Best Buy usually has IFC Midnight releases first week available between 9.99-14.99 and that's not a lot of money for me so everything has been a blind buy.

My local Best Buy had Wyrmwood in a 5.99 bin so I bought it. I also recently ordered a copy of Would you rather.
Anyone else recently add IFC Midnight titles to their collection?

I recently added Carnage Park to my collection of IFC Midnight titles. I thought it was good but I thought it could've been better.
Despite my criticisms of the movie, I do see why so many people look forward to movies made by Mickey Keating

Here's everything I would recommend from the IFC Midnight catalog that I own and/or have seen...

Now to be fair there is a lot of titles I haven't yet seen, but of everything currently available these would be the titles I would recommend first, as not a whole lot of what is left I have interest in. (I intentionally left of the Human Centipede III as while I own it and don't regret purchasing it, I can't recommend it as it's not a good movie at all and feel like most people will absolutely hate it.)

I recently added Autopsy of Jane Doe to my collection and I have Don't Knock Twice coming in the mail.
Autopsy of Jane Doe was great
