I enjoy Thrower's comments on various Blu Ray releases and just purchased his massive Murderous Passions.

Definitely want to pick up Nighmare USA whenever I get done thumbing through the Franco book.

Excellent thread.

Stephen Thrower's Nightmare USA book has cost me a lot of money, because most of these movies that he mentions inevitably appeal to me, and I'm inclined to purchase as such.

There are a few titles that just flat out don't appeal to me, like the Andy Milligan films, but most of the movies on the checklist are fun, if not flawless, off-the-beaten-path winners.

A much-needed thread that many of us will take part in, even though I'll end up probably buying more of these than I should because of this thread.

He does review a film called blood rage, though it is a different film than the one you linked. I don't think that one ever gets mentioned.

Quite right, he discusses the 1979 Joseph Zito one, which is one word and also called Never Pick up a Stranger. It has an awesomely abrupt ending, and the killer/actor is a wonderfully greasy scumbag. Someone should request it to BU (as they have the rights, according to Film Aficianado.)

Well, that's A-M done from the checklist, I'll give my hands a break for the night and polish off the rest tomorrow. Oh, I didn't include the cruddy Image disc of The Hills Have Eyes, which has thankfully been rendered obsolete by the upcoming Arrow edition, and, for now, Last House on Dead End Street is only available as an unrestored Easter Egg on VS' disc of Corruption, also directed by Peter Watkins, which is a beautifully shot and quite interesting piece of adult filmmaking, for those who are willing to take the time. Fall Break is listed under the title we know and love as The Mutilator, and when US and UK editions are identical (aka Arrow releases), I've only included the US ones, so we don't need to have the art ruined by those pesky little ratings logos.

Now off to watch a couple of these - I encourage you all to do the same!

This is EXACTLY what I am afraid of. Same with the Franco book.

Loving the Lists! Small suggestion... Try using either [small] or [medium] tags in place of the large tags so that the images are a bit easier to browse. Also, It'd be nice to see the lists split between what's available in the US vs What's available elsewhere in the world rather than lumping things together in one long list. Perhaps others will disagree however, either way I've got the book on my wish list and always enjoy seeing visual interpretations so this will be fun to explore.

Hmm, a couple of these USA releases are not available through Amazon. Blue Sunshine and The Alien Factor, for example. I was unaware of either of those releases, as well as Death Bed. I'll have to get Death Bed, at least.

Interesting, as The Alien Factor was readily available on Amazon, but it just sold out a day or two ago and then it appears the whole page was removed right afterwards. I believe it was a 1,000 limited signed edition.

Day of the Reaper could be the rarest so far - only 100 of that one.

Has anyone ever heard Patton Oswalt's comedy bit about Death Bed?

Like schlock mentioned above me, ALIEN FACTOR has sold out of it's limited 1000 copy run. BLUE SUNSHINE is an absolutely fantastic disc. It's a brand new 4k scan and it's loaded with extras, including the soundtrack.

Here's a pic I took from the BLUE SUNSHINE thread:
https://forum.blu-ray.com/showpost.p...2&postcount=98

You can buy it here:

I had no idea The Devonsville Terror was coming to blu-ray, that's awesome. The movie has some of the best autumn imagery out there.
