Japan David Lynch Works On Film Japan Bluray Box Set

Has anyone seen any details on this -

https://www.amazon.co.jp/David-Lynch...=AN1VRQENFRJN5

I have searched everywhere and cannot find any details, the amazon listing isn't very informative. Thanks in advance.

Going by the years in the listing it would seem to be:

77: Eraserhead
80: Elephant Man
92: Fire Walk With Me
97: Lost Highway
01: Mulholland Drive
06: Inland Empire

all on Blu-ray and DVD (except for Elephant Man which is BD only), totaling 11 discs.

I imagine the copies of the individual titles that are on the tracker at 3855 (except for Elephant Man at 2035) are the discs in the set.

Eraserhead: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Erase...lu-ray/180264/
Elephant Man: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-E...lu-ray/180265/
FWWM: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Twin-...lu-ray/180266/
Lost Highway: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Lost-...lu-ray/180267/
Mulholland Drive: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Mulho...lu-ray/180268/
Inland Empire: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/Inlan...lu-ray/180269/

Wow thanks, I wonder if the bonus features include the short films like Rabbits, Industrial Symphony etc. I already own all his feature length films but I would purchase this set if so.

This feature documentary is not available in Blu-ray in US or other parts of the world. In Spain it's available on Blu-ray DAVID LYCNH: THE ART LIFE

https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B06...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It's region Free.

It has special features like a feature with the new paintings of Lynch.

the blu-ray box release date has been pushed back to Sep. 29th, because David Lynch is still supervising it.

Could someone give me a rundown on which of these will have new transfers or be different from what's released?

Like, the Twin Peaks & Eraserheads I'm guessing are the same newest 4K transfers. But are some of these unreleased new 2/4k transfers? Or do we not know?

I assume David Lynch supervising it right now means...something.

A bit of a bump so I apologise-

This set comes out in a day or so, and it's listed to only have Japanese subtitles, but is anyone getting a copy in? I would love to buy this set but having English subtitles is kind of a big factor for me (my hearing is fine but I have some mild sensory issues so sometimes I need the subtitles on screen for general ease, it's not a HUGE issue but I prefer it for heavier films such as Lynch's works and buying a whole set without them when there are editions with the subs would be pretty silly of me), and just wanted to see if anyone was willing to confirm this if they had a copy on the way.

I mean there's no reason they would actively put them in but I know over there if they already have the materials when authoring the discs they may slap them in so figured it was worth putting the question out there.

And it's digipack(s).

You could also order from rakuten. Rakuten has very often 10% off for fromjapan.co.jp orders. Right now it's 17.400 Yen on rakuten, but with those 10% off it's 15700 Yen. 2.1. + 3.1. had that offer, so I guess it's going to happen again this tuesday. That way you can also choose how to ship it. Fromjapan supports SAL and other types of cheap shipping as well as EMS and other express couriers.

https://books.rakuten.co.jp/rb/14976553/

Currently trying to find unboxing video.

EDIT: found some photos of it, beautiful.

It seems it's really multiple digipacks.

EDIT2:

EDIT3: lol, some people complain about Mulholland Drive + Inland Empire having no chapter selections.

EDIT4: Just to make sure - the comments say that SOME shorts are included. I couldn't find any detailed info on it. So some may be missing. I'm still searching around.

I'm an idiot. I should have simply looked for that box set on the publishers website.
http://cinemakadokawa.jp/dvd1709.html?type=youga

Fire Walk With Me (135 minutes):
DVD: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Japanese LPCM 2.0
Subtitles: Japanese

Eraserhead (89 minutes):
DVD: English Dolby Digital 5.1
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
Subtitles: Japanese

Lost Highway (135 minutes):
DVD: English Dolby Digital 5.1
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 7.1
Subtitles: Japanese

Mulholland Drive (147 minutes):
DVD: English Dolby Digital 5.1, Japanese Dolby Digital 2.0
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Japanese LPCM 2.0
Subtitles: Japanese

Elephant Man (124 minutes):
DVD: English Dolby Digital 5.1
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1, Japanese dub
Subtitles: Japanese

Inland Empire (180 minutes):
BD-50: English DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1
Subtitles: Japanese

So 6 BDs, 5 DVDs.

That should help Sylontack. Sorry about it.

Bonus Features:
Eraser Head: Making Of, 5 short films "Alphabet" and more, Trailer
Elephant Man: Interview, trailer, booklet
Twin Peaks / laura Palmer's Last 7 Days: Interview, Short "Dynamic 01" series 7 work, trailer
Lost Highway: Interview, Making-Of, "Dumbland" series 8 works, trailer
Mulholland Drive: Interview, Documentary "Dans La Boite Bleu", trailer
Inland Empire: Documentary, Trailer

I hope this helps.

So maybe "Six Figures Getting Sick" is missing? idk. Really weird that it's 5 and not 6. Also weird that the publisher can't be bothered to list them all. Maybe it's even just a typo and all 6 are included. Who knows...

Dynamic 01 is included. Dumbland too.

SADLY the latest ones are missing

If anyone is interested:
I just bit the bullet. It seems amazon Japan has broken shipping and deposit fee calculation atm, so I get this shipped to Europe for 1000 Yen only + 1500 Yen deposit. Amazon removes Japanese tax, so I effectively pay 1500 on top of the official price, which is pretty cheap especially for no customs involved.

No idea how they are going to ship it, probably they will use express shipping and it should arrive in a few days.

The box seems to get more expensive on other sites, so maybe this is the best time. We will see.

Will make photos of everything as soon as it arrives. And I will also check the extras.

Oh wow, that was unexpected.
It's here already.
It actually includes 2 booklets.
One small one - only 6 pages.
And a indepth one for Elephant Man.

Really high quality release from what I have seen so far - at least from the physical side of things.

Will go through it when I have some more time and post details in here.
It's region locked, which means I have to use my Asian PS3.
On DVDs Europe was in the same region as Japan. Sad.

It's so beautiful. I used spoiler-tags to hide even more photos, just fyi if you haven't seen them.
