France Shinya Tsukamoto - Tetsuo 3 / Fires on the Plain

https://www.amazon.fr/films-Shinya-T...dp/B01JSZ9BF2/
https://boutique.blaqout.com/collect...the-bullet-man

Fires on the Plain and Tetsuo: The Bullet Man were released as a double feature in France, some time last year I guess (this release isn't in the database)...

Has anyone bought this release? Can anyone confirm if Tetsuo 3 has forced subtitles or not?

(I'm not so much interested in Fires on the Plain, since that was released in an English-friendly version by Third Window Films, but I'm interested in Tetsuo 3, because the dialogue is 95% English anyway, and if there are no forced subtitles, I'd prefer the French release to the German, since I understand some French and would be able to watch the making-of.)

Just to answer my own question, since I did finally buy this release...

The subtitles on this release are forced. The upshot of this is, since I understand some French, I can understand the few instances of Japanese dialogue. And the movie's not so dialogue heavy that I really mind having to look at French subtitles for all the English dialogue (though it would be nice if you could turn them off and on).

If you don't understand French, and don't mind missing the Japanese dialogue you're probably better off just going for the German (region B) or Japanese (region A) releases which I don't think have forced subtitles.

As for the making of, however, you don't need to understand French. What it is, is the full soundtrack of the movie, set to various behind-the-scenes footage and multimedia. It's kind of neat the way it's edited to fit the soundtrack. But there are no interviews or anything.

As for Fires on the Plain, the dialogue is, of course entirely Japanese, so you really need to understand French (or Japanese) to watch that one. This release does not include the making of which is on Third Window Film's excellent English-friendly release.

Anyways, the PQ is excellent, and it's a really nicely packaged release, with a reversible sleeve, and a reversible slipcover with different art. I've just added it to the database here:
