Has anyone purchased the Prime Video of this? Substantially cheaper and is easy to access.

Oh yes, it carries over all the previous extras, adds a new one, and has the only acceptable way to have a TV production like this cropped to 16:9 on home video: also offering the uncropped 4:3 version on the disc.

The 16:9 crop is atrocious. I gifted this to my mom and grandmother and had to include a note on the inside of the case to remind them which version to watch. It's confusing for people who don't frequent a blu-ray message boards, and idiotic to offer it cropped in the first place.

I wish studios would stop doing this. The 1970s Wonder Woman looks great on iTunes in HD, but they're the cropped versions only

It's a terrible irony that widescreen televisions have led to this. We went from cropping stuff vertically to cropping it horizontally.

Yes the 16:9 version of Emmet is terrible. Why anyone would watch that version is beyond me.

To be clear, I totally disagree with cropping films and TV productions that were produced and exhibited in 4:3 or Academy Ratio to widescreen. But I also appreciate that with this Blu-Ray, viewers were given a choice of which version to view. A couple favorite animated TV productions of mine were most recently released to DVD cropped to widescreen. One I bought to replace a DVD I'd likely misplaced during a move (Raymond Briggs' The Snowman), the other had new bonuses I really wanted (Children's Television Workshop's animated The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe). So the practice of cropping these productions in my opinion creates an incomplete and inferior version.

I just appreciate that if this released needed a widescreen version, it also provided the original version.

What about shows that are opened up? Not all are filmed in 4:3. They were just broadcast that way.

I mean, you're not losing any information but gaining more. I personally don't have any in my collection that I know are like that, with the exception of the Walt Disney Treasures Dr. Syn set where they showed the movie and TV cut in widescreen as it had been shot in that format.

I suppose that opens a new debate of if you're seeing something they wanted you to see or not. If it's not revealing anything that should not be in frame, I guess it's all right.

My Will and Grace DVD's are like that. I thought Friends was as well.

The problem with Friends though is that in some instances you can see the actors are really their stand-ins, or things like messy scenery.

I wished we could have seen more detail throughout the film but you canít change the source material.

I’m honestly thinking that the 2001 DVD is the one to get. I don’t like the new frame rate and weird cropping, and I don’t need this upconverted to HD because it brings almost no real improvement to the presentation.

Buy at your own risk. I bought it back in 2002 and was shocked as to how much was cut out, because I know the show inside and out. Sliced and diced.
