Do iZombie and Riverdale count? They’re CW shows in America.

Star Trek is also CBS in America. I feel like some of these need astericks?

What is the criteria? If we count stuff Netflix says is “originals”, but they’re lying about because they only have international streaming rights (shows like Seven Deadly Sins and Violet Evergarden), then it’s not truly originals. So, what I’m asking is- does it have to had originally came out on Netflix first to count?

The only one Netflix actually produces and distributes themselves that is on blu-ray is Stranger Things. House of Cards for example is produced by Sony. According to Mike Flanagan, Netflix flat out REFUSED to release his films on blu-ray. There have been rumors of Criterion releasing The Other Side of the Wind and Roma. Alfonso Cuaron says Roma is getting a blu-ray release this year, we just don’t know anything for sure on either of those yet.

Yeah, I really feel like only Stranger Things counts. Why they made an exception there I dunno, but in general for the stuff they produce themselves it makes more sense to use it to push subscriptions, sadly.

Stranger Things might have just been such a massive hit they couldn't turn down the money a disc release would offer. If that's the case hopefully we see Bird Box on UHD someday.

The popularity is definitely the reason. I haven’t purchased the first two seasons yet because I’m worried they’ll stop releasing them.

I mainly just want The Haunting of Hill House, but I think that one is Paramount so it may have a chance.

I still have to disagree. I think it looks fantastic and didn't notice some of the "faults" until you pointed them out. Even then, they felt minor. Personally I think these episode look great, but it's up to the eye of the beholder I guess.

I could see Bird Box getting a release. Maybe in time for Halloween. Might be another Target exclusive.

That's nice to hear this idea of Criterion releasing Roma and The Other Side of the Wind. I would hope Netflix could be more open to that, as it just lends to their prestige.
Although it will/would be flippin' weeeiiirddd at first to watch a blu-ray that opens with the Criterion logo followed by the Netflix logo.

Also on a wishlist would be Beasts of No Nation. Their first original film! I think. I'm only mentioning it as a reminder that it's a film that exists. To me, these titles can tend to feel lost in an abyss without a physical release.

Rome from Criterion would be great, but I would rather see the Ballad of Buster Scrubs. Love that film.

I've been praying that Hill House makes it to Blu-ray. Though refusing to release Flanagan's other films? Yikes. That really should give content creators pause before jumping in with Netflix...

And now I want Mindhunter too. That show was awesome.

If you can ignore a sh*t load of banding, then good for you. The videophile in me was baffled beyond belief. I captured over 120 screenshots of artifacting. The majority is very bad. Personally, I think you guys are crazy for not being able to see how bad it is, but thatís just me. Itís in practically every other shot.

Oh well...

I mean, we know Netflix has exclusive rights to Hush for 7 years, and then hopefully Blumhouse will put it on Blu-ray soon after. However, sounds like the Netflix owned Flanagan movies were shit out of luck, which sucks. Hopefully Paramount puts Hill House on Blu-ray, but I wouldn't hold my breath. Thank god Doctor Sleep is being done by WB, not Netflix.

Just because something is distributed internationally through Netflix, that doesn't make it a Netflix original. Those CW shows and Annihilation were released on TV and in the theaters, respectively. Also, Star Trek: Discovery is a CBS All Access property. There's nothing "Netflix Original" about them.
