Al Adamson: The Masterpiece Collection arrived in the mail in perfect condition today from Severin. I'm glad that I selected the paid shipping.

This is a beautiful box set. I don't usually care for cardboard sleeves, but the ones here are well done and the discs are easy to remove.

I have some priority unwatched stuff that I want to check out over the next few days, but I'm going to dive into this set soon. I don't know if I'll fly through all of the movies at once or space them apart, but I'm leaning towards flying through the whole set.

I did the same thing - I paid for the upgraded shipping a while after initially ordering after reading their disclosure about not being responsible for damaged or lost packages. The upgraded shipping was not updated on my order screen, so a few days ago after folks on this blog started getting shipping notices I emailed Severin to ensure that I was upgraded for shipping.

They reached back out to me in less than a day and verified it was upgraded and explained to me that the shipping is upgraded in their system but may not show on the order screen we can see as customers. So, no worries chap - I'm sure they've got their records straight.

If you still want to verify, you can email them and they will respond quickly

I just received my copy. I didn't pay for fancy shipping, but it arrived Priority Mail anyway, well boxed with peanuts and packing foam. Looks really good.

I watched the documentary tonight. It was interesting, but not quite as compelling as Lost Soul. The trailer for the documentary basically tells everything. The doc itself just adds details to it. The clips looked mostly good. Much better than I've ever seen before. The interview footage is well shot and razor sharp of course. I'm looking forward to watching some of the films over the next couple of weeks. I probably won't go chronological because I want to see Frank vs Drac and Carnival Magic a lot.

I ordered one from Séverin and Grindhouse incase one gets canceled. So there is a chance that I might have an extra set. If this is case and you did not get an order in or missed out I’d be willing to sell my copy for amount paid plus shipping. feel free to PM me and I can reply if I have an extra.

To those who have already received or will soon be receiving this set can you please check Disc 8 with The Naughty Stewardesses/Blazing Stewardesses to see if you have any playback issues?

My copy will only load the menu and play Blazing Stewardesses. The Naughty Stewardesses freezes at about 29mins into the movie and none of the special features will play. It will just show a black screen or return to me the menu if I try to play them.

I've tried it on 2 different players with no luck.

Mine won't play at all. My player seems to see it as a data disc, and it won't play any of the files seen.

UPDATE: It won't play at all on my PS4. "Invalid disc."

Concerning start, but at least if that's an issue across all sets it's something you absolutely have to replace, as opposed to just a small image or audio issue they could try ignore

My copy of disc number 8 won't even play in my Sony PlayStation 3 deck, which plays almost everything. The disc's surface has a small flaw in it.

I just checked.

My Disc 8 (The Naughty Stewardesses/Blazing Stewardesses) is read as a "data disc" by my Sony 4K Blu-ray player, and it will not play at all.

With all the time they were waiting for the packaging, someone could have reviewed the discs for QC purposes. Especially as a high profile release.

Severin has zero QC and this f$&k up proves it, how could that slip by? An entire disc doesn't play, how are the encodes in the discs that work so far?
