Exclamation List of movies/TV shows that needs a new Blu-ray

This is for movies/TV shows that has been released on Blu-ray, but the video and audio quality is imperfect by today's standard and needs a new Blu-ray with an improved transfer/mix, or the movie/TV show has a superior (according to the opinion of a huge chunk of the movie/TV show's fan) cut of the movie released with an significantly inferior video/audio quality than another cut of the movie. Some BD editions are missing, please add them to the blu-ray.com collection, also working on some movies down there.

Movie Title/Alt Title (Year) [BD Edition: Flaws in the BD] {Best edition right now}#

Some movies have multiple BD transfer where none of them reign supreme, as each has their own flaws and merits.

When an new BD version of the movie is announced, we add: ", new BD announced by (company) for a (date) release"

# contains the source of my info

Criteria:
  • Movie/TV show is released on BD, but not released in 4K BD or 4K Streaming
  • Video/Audio quality is not perfect and doesn't reach the potential of what the movie was shot on
  • A print of the movie with higher quality is presumed to exist
  • The sole problem of the video quality is NOT the color grading, slight black crush, slight highlight clipping, slight banding, or that the movie wasn't released on 4K
  • The superior (according to the opinion of a huge chunk of the movie/TV show's fan) cut is released in an inferior quality to another cut of the movie.
Color Legend:
  • Green = Streaming/Broadcast version's video/audio quality is superior
  • Blue = The flawed video/audio quality also appeared in the original theatrical release or is inherent to the DI
  • Brown = Filmmaker approved, flaws and all
  • DarkOrange = BD release is this way due to legal issue
  • Magenta = Movie was announced for a new BD release.
  • Dark Magenta = A remaster for the movie was announced, but a theatrical or home media release was not.
  • Red = Release not listed in Bluray.com

I need help in describing the texture of the movies below:

Battle Royale (2000)
Battle Royale II: Requiem (2003)

Enemy of the State (1998)
Falling Down (1993)
Infernal Affairs (2002) (DE/HK/KR BD)
Infernal Affairs II (2003) (DE/HK/KR BD)
Infernal Affairs III (2003) (DE/HK/KR BD)
Basic Instinct (1992) (UK BD)

Run Lola Run (1998)
A Clockwork Orange (1971)
La Haine (1995)
The Patriot (2000) (Extended Cut)

To Catch a Thief (1955) (The old BD)
Funny Games (1997) (FR BD)

Dog Day Afternoon (1975)
Marathon Man (1976)
Network (1976) (US BD)

Caligula (1979) (FR BD)
The Last Emperor (1987) (JP BD)

Dark Water (2002)
The Tin Drum (1979) (US BD)
Bad Lieutenant (1992)
Cape Fear (1991)
Disturbing Behavior (1998)
Ong Bak (2003) (DE Spendid BD)
Touch of Evil (1958) (US BD)
Le Samoura´ (US BD)
Triumph of the Will (1935)
M (1931) (US & UK BD)

Need help in describing Cape Fear (1962)'s grain.
What exactly is the problem with Sleepy Hollow (1999)?
Need source that To Catch A Thief's botched PP BD was sourced from a 4K Restoration.
Need source that a 4K Restoration of Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance (2002) is in the works.
Is the DE/HK/KR BD of Infernal Affairs sourced from a different master than the US BD? The US BD has edge enhancement while the DE/HK/KR BD looks softer.

Those Blu-ray's deserve a newly remastered picture and interviews:
Near Dark (1987) (Liongate/Studio Canal/Arrow/Shout Factory)
Creature a.k.a. The Titan Find (1985) (Shout Factory/Arrow/Blue Underground (offering a clear 1080p picture quality newly remastered in 2K/4K and newly remastered audio on 5.1 or at least on 2.0 tracks and new interviews))
Married with Children, The Complete Series (Sony Pictures/Mill Creek Entertainment)
Castle, The Complete Series (Disney)
Stranger Things, Season 3 (Netflix)
Law and Order SVU, The Complete Series (Universal Pictures)
Brainscan (1994) (newly remastered in 2K/4K)

Absolutely stunning cinematography. I was floored when I saw it in 35mm on opening weekend
