Sunshine, 3:10 to yuma, 2001, Blade Runner, Total Recal, and Galapagos (if they have it) will be what I pick up. Too bad Fear and Loathing isn't on blu...

Skip the movies and go with "Planet Earth". I've seen any number of "wow" movies but none of them compare to the awesome power of God's creation in nature in high def.

I was truly awestruck and glad I own it.

I have only been in the Blu - Ray camp for one month now, but the movies that have "wowed me" so far are:

SpiderMan 1 & 3
Mission Impossible III
Casino Royale
Hollow Man

Let me rephrase my post then...
Pictures from Disney have the best PQ.
I am sure that was prep work for when they thought Pixar was leaving disney years ago

BTW roger your plan to get Blade Runner - that one has a very high wow quotient in blu.
I second all of that, esp. Blade Runner if you have watched the older DVD version. To say the difference is day and night is to understate it.

I also second Shawnsmail35 w/ Kingdom of Heaven, and it's the Director's Cut, to boot.

Dog Day Afternoon is another that just shows you how good an old movie can look on Blu.

Since it came with Spiderman 3, I got that (not that I wanted it) and since the Sony-Style store didn't have the Galapagos Disk, and Blade Runner wasn't a sony release, I left with just Spiderman 3, and I'm ordering about 10-15 disks from Amazon/DVD empire, or wherever I can find a good deal, as I surf away at work today.......

I had to tell you this...... because it floored me. I didn't know if Blade Runner was a Sony release or not, so while I was in the Sony-Style store, I asked "do you have Blade Runner on Blu-ray??" and what did the guy behind the counter say, you ask???????????

"The one with Wesley Snipes?"

HAHA!!!! God Bless the youth of America.
