Finally finished watching this. Both the '95 classic movie and the recent Scorpions Revenge animated movie are way better. This entire movie just seems rather aimless, jumping from fight to fight with not much of a connecting thread. Characters show up randomly then leave with very little explanation. Then the movie doesn't end, it just sort of stops.
To be fair, some of the fights were pretty good, but still dont see myself ever watching this again. |

US release date is scheduled for July 13. That date builds up to be an expensive one. Many 4K releases.

This title will get both a 4K regular release and a 4K Steelbook in the US on July 13. The cover artwork currently showing on the database entry for the regular release has been there for weeks, and I highly doubt it is the official one.

Wait, they named him Cole? Shouldn't that be Kole?
Movie was alright. Could have been improved by giving Cole more personality. He's really bland and generic as is. Also, since they're teasing the resurrection several villains anyway, I would have liked at least a couple more deaths among the heroes at the end to make the ending less of a one-sided victory. Hell, Cole even could have been killed by Sub-Zero after Scorpion came back just to get Scorpion REALLY pissed off. Imagine a sequel featuring Scorpion leading the other heroes into the Netherrealms to get a likable version of Cole back (among other heroes). I hope Kano gets a bigger role in the next one. He stole the show with this movie. I only recently got into MK and watched the films, but I gotta say my favorite of the movies is the '95 flick. Hoping we get a REALLY good 4K of that one soon. |

I see that blowitoutahere.com has two Mortal Kombat 4K UHD listings with release date "Coming soon".
Mortal Kombat, UPC 883929726660 https://www.blowitoutahere.com/morta...t/883929726660 and Mortal Kombat: Battles Of The Realms, UPC 883929731008 https://www.blowitoutahere.com/morta...s/883929731008 What is the second listing? |
