Gorgeous art. I held off on the Shouts hoping Eureka would do everything chronologically but these themed sets are wonderful and far better than the pricey Universal Shout volumes.

The whole set is worthwhile for Night Key I'd argue.

Having already got the Shouts I don't feel there's a compelling reason to buy again, but the cover art is top-notch. Truth be told these aren't the finest examples from Karloff's career (The Climax is one of the dullest films I've ever endured - like someone watched the 40s Phantom of the Opera and said "I bet we can rip that off and make it even duller!"), but nice to see these films getting the Eureka treatment.

Personally I would have preferred The Strange Door and Tower of London to Night Key and The Climax, but maybe there will be a second volume.

It does boast a very nice cover.

Oh and BTW - just noticed - on the original post you've got 'Night Terror' instead of 'Night Key'.

Pre-ordered. I haven't seen these so I'm very excited about this release.

Got to agree 'The Climax' is very dull. I would have preferred 'The Strange Door; or 'Tower of London' myself. Nevertheless I have pre-ordered for 'Night Key' and 'The Black Castle'.

Watched the 'Night Key' last night. Wasn't expecting 1930's terror to be too terrorifying but don't think this one was intended to be a thriller, more a mild comedy. It was quite a charming little movie, quite silly really but the plot was quite inventive for the time. The female lead was rather over the top glamorous, turned out to be from Universal's Flash Gordon series, and had what I thought must have been a young Ward Bond's first role (It turned out had been in a large number of films before this).

Night Key is not a horror, but that's never stopped it always being lumped in with Uni's horrors for decades. Even some of the original posters tried to sell it that way!
