Default Can't get DD5.1 out of BD30

For some reason I can't get Dolby Digital 5.1 out of my Panasonic BD30. I had one of the earliest firmware updates that there was and didn't get it and now I updated to v2.2 thinking that maybe was it but still can't get it. WTF?

I just have the BD30 hooked up with a fiber optic cable the same way I had my PS3 hooked up and I had no problem with the DD5.1 from the PS3. I don't understand how I can't get it from the BD30. All I can get is Pro Logic II.

Any tips or troubleshooting I can do to get my 5.1 kicking again? Thanks in advance.

I assume that you have your BD-30 hooked up to a receiver using optical cable. If so then you will only get lossless 2.0 channel because of the default settings. Check the manual on audio settings, I can't remember what the exact settings were but you need to set DTS and DD to bitstream mode and then viola 5.2 channel sound. It won't be the loss less track but a 1.5mbps lossy track. Still way better than that of DVD anyway. I noticed the difference.
