I'm no mac guy, but perhaps the problem lies with design? Was the G4 redesigned, so maybe the drive wouldn't fit in it, versus older models? Don't know, just throwing that out there.

I don't see how that's possible. It's perfectly capable of using 2 optical disc drives.

Im definitly thinking about it, but $800? Not sure I would use it enough to justify that. Although i could use my lap top to play blu-rays on my other tv. Hmmmm

I actually play the PC game Company of Heroes from my laptop and connected to my DLP. Using a DVI to HDMI connection. Truly a joy to experience! ![]() Now Blu-ray for my laptop that would be sweet! But I agree the price is the show-stopper. $800.00...? Last edited by HDViewer; 04-22-2007 at 07:39 PM. |

I see the system requirements say MacBoook pro 17", i have a 15" and i dont see anything about it working for my model. I'm assuming it would work just fine, anyone know for sure?

Is there that much of a difference between the 17 and the 15? I thought optical drives for the macbook are standard size.
