i also have the 1500 and it worked fine for me. try updating your firmware. i have the 2.3 FW version and everything has worked great since i did the update.

There is a good movie on that episode of Aussie history, but it is defnitely not this movie. Do yourselves a favo(u)r and put Rabbit-Proof Fence on your Netflix queue instead.

I hate to admit this, but my knowledge about Australia comes from the
following two movies:

Crocodile Dundee
The Shrimp on the Barbie

Oh.... also tha movie with a talking kangaroo... I forget the name...

I got the Australia blu-ray for X-mas and noticed the same thing "Special Features" Disc One (no mention of a Disc Two!), maybe this was going to have a digital copy and it never happened? I've never seen the film but I heard it has a hell of a cattle stampede!

My bet is that they will re-release it as a 2-Disc Special Edition at the same time they release Baz Luhrmann's Romeo + Juliet and Moulin Rouge ! later this year. Then maybe a "Save $5 now if you buy Australia: Special Edition and Moulin Rouge ! or Romeo + Juliet" sort of thing.

What a great Valentine's Day movie to watch here. Me and my s/o both enjoyed it immensely. Why can't all romantic movies be like this?!

looks and sounds great on BD if not a tad cheesy. like it a lot though.

On time-mark 1:43:22 when they are kissing - IS THAT EDGE ENHANCEMENT ?????

Does not look good - wy do they using it when all it does is to give them a white line around them, it does not make the movie look sharper

Seems like they have misunderstood what the Blu-ray format is about
