The Computer Graphics in Movies Project is a project who's goal is to make a documentary on CG from 1973 to 1993.
This documentary would length 120 minutes but it's subject to increase. It will be encoded in MPEG-4 H.263 in the resolution of 704x384 with MP3 sound at 192 Kbps. Well, I remember the people in the tribunes, in the scene with the circus to be computer simulated. One of the first computer simulated scenes in movie history by the way :P

Mmm yeah sorry... I confused it with something else... Found it a bit strange myself too...
Ben Hur was one of the first movies where one created things that didn't existed in the picture. The simulation was done with other techniques, it weren't computer graphics as suspected, sorry... ![]() |

- Oliver & Compagny - The Little Mermaid - Free Willy The project has now 53 movies ! :? I now introduce the "movies informations" part with huge informations about 15 films by now. - The Beauty and the Beast (1991) - Hocus Pocus (1993) ![]() ![]() The project is now counting 45 scenes encoded on 56 and will be the object of a presentation in an amphi of the St Quentin en Yvelines university the 13 December with Krystatos and I as members of the CGM Project. - Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade (1989) - Aladdin (1992) ![]() ![]() The project is now counting 47 scenes encoded on 53. Three scenes have been wiped out because they didn't contained CGI. - Howard, the Duck (1986) - Flight of the Intruder (1991) - Honey, I Blew Up The Baby (1992) For the six latests scenes, four will come from DVDs : - Oliver & Company (1988) - The Rescuers Down Under (1991) - Death Becomes Her (1992) - Demolition Man (1993) And the two others will be XviD et DivX sources : - Ghostbusters 2 (1989) - The Little Mermaid (1989) EDIT : 32st week of the project ! ![]() Last edited by Gorkab; 12-08-2005 at 02:46 PM. |

Two New films added...
- Labyrinth (1986) - In The Line Of Fire (1993) Those two movies are now on downloading and both has AC3 sound, they are also in XviD and DivX. So for the moment, despite my Premiere & After Effects problems for the black lines, there is 48 scenes encoded on 55 ! The last encoded scene is the horrible morphing made for Ghostbusters 2 (1989) : ![]() |
