Black Panther was his most renowned role, but he also starred in other good movies as well. He had such a promising career, and this just to show us all that life is short and it's not be taken for granted, because we don't know when we're going to leave this earth.

A talented, handsome young man. I was looking forward to the day he'd return once again as Black Panther, but he'll always be my hero with or without the costume.

I feel so sad that he is gone, but I also feel touched by what he gave. I remember seeing him at the Academy Awards off to the side by himself, and being barraged by all these questions about the obvious in regards to the Ryan Coogler written and directed (which got no nominations in this regard) wonderful film. I was feeling very good about how I felt things were at the time. I also had just got done with a marathon of Walking Dead again and seeing Danai also in this great film while around the time being in the season finale of the Negan battle of "Wrath", just made me prouud. All I could think of is how there was an enormous tidal wave of success coming. This change where this fine film not only impacted in very positive way and hitting the ninth highest grossing domestic film (at least at the time) and being the highest grossing stand alone Marvel film, it was just exhilarating for me. To add to that, there was a group of people who I worked with that had this hate for all things racial that I knew would just be freaking out about this and I was right. Call it twisted, but I actually felt glee at how much it bothered them because it wasn't about their pain (or whatever you call it), but a very real sense of change was happening.

Yet in the end, I feel sadness and a loss. All this talk can gloss over that we are talking about an individual. A person who's important contribution has came and gone so swiftly. All I can add to any of this is I just want to simply say, I liked the guy. Right off the bat, I felt a tremendous feeling of "that guy is alright, he is someone I want to know more about". R.I.P.

I’m the same age he was. It really puts things into perspective, and it made me realize that every moment is precious, and to not take anything for granted. Man, this is a tough one. RIP.

My friend woke me up at 1am when the news broke and I still am in shock. This feels like a sick, twisted joke.

Such a shame. He was just entering the prime of his movie career. But he gave us so much while he was with us on this earth. And what a trooper he was. Doing all those fight sequences, and all the MCU press, while being sick. Not once did he ever show he was sick. He will be sorely missed.

If any of you have not seen 42 or Get on Up these are some of his best films IMHO.

Is 42 recommended for someone with no knowledge of or interest in sporting events?

It is the real life story of a man who broke racial barriers to play baseball. It is not about just baseball.

It's definitely worth watching even if you don't care about baseball.
