Those are sweet Jade 5s they go for $3,199 a pair. The big brother Jade 7s run $4,199 a pair. Stereophile rated them well.

While auditioning Wharfedale Diamond 10, what else should I listen to?

Dali Zensor
Focal Chorus 700
Acoustic Energy 3 Series
And?

I watch movies way more than i listen to tunes. Need a great center. I really want a center that has the tweeter on a higher plane, not the traditional that I have.

Dam didn't realize how good of a deal I got, generally if something is around the $3k mark in the USOFA it's around $5k-$6k here in NZ

I got the 5 for $2k a pair and the big center for $1500

My only concern is whether or not they have the presence for a big home theater when I make the move and build next year.

What turned me on to Wharfedale is the prices here are almost the same as the US.

Monitor Audio Bronze worth checking out?

the bronze imo was ok when i heard the BX5 and center, i was thinking a used set for the kids tv room when we move cause if they were damaged i wouldnt care, but i think im going to do something better like used dali ikons or zensors. if i was going MA id only want the silver line or higher for my main setup. rx6 and rx center would be where id aim.

That's what I thought.

Really looking forward to hearing the DALI Zensors. Hope they are the bargain all the reviews make them out to be.

they replaced the concepts, and i really really liked the concept 8s. almost bought them before i bought the excites. my dealer has a pair of ikon 1s and vokal center 1 that i could get for less then $800, so if they are still around when the time comes ill probably buy them. or ill look at the zensor 1 and zensor vokal in gloss white.

Would love white, but with the projector, I'm worried they'll catch too much light.

Well, I was able to break my Def Tech towers out of the home theater for a dedicated 2 channel music setup. To fill in left and right duties for the fronts I picked up some Wharfedale Diamond 10.1's. Got them as demos from Music Direct but I couldn't find a mark or a scratch on them.

Jim, those are beautiful speakers!

They sound just great eh?!! I have never tried my bookshelves for anything other than pulling surround duty, but I can imagine those 10.1's are up to main stage responsibilities.
