United Kingdom Anyone had any problems with Spider-Man?

Just tried it in my PS3 and it won't play. Laptop doesn't recognise that there's a disc.

This is the first movie from the box set. Anyone else had a problem with this or experienced something similar with another title.

Think I only ever played it once when it first came out.

No problems here with that disc.
Only problems I've had with any blu ray is the latest saving private Ryan still waiting for a replacement from paramount.

Well Spidey 2 & 3 work fine. Spider-Man worked when I first got it.

Anyone know of any contact details for Sony Home Entertainment?

This was all I could find.

You'll need to provide proof or purchase, aswell as a detailed description of the issue.

Sounds more like a PS3 issue. I'm assuming you've updated the firmware? Is Spiderman a Universal title? Only I've had issues before with Universal titles after PS3 updates, not sure why. They usually sort themselves out though.

There's always a smart ass who tries (and fails) to be funny.

Yes, firmware is fully up to date. It isn't a PS3 issue because my laptop doesn't recognise the disc. Shouldn't be a dirty disc as it's been viewed once and then kept in the case for the last couple of years.

No problem providing proof of purchase, hopefully they'll send me a new disc if I return this one, but we'll see. It's frustrating that it's a disc from a 3 film box set which isn't available separately.

When you contact Sony, make sure to send a picture of the disc and case itself, just so they know what to look for if they offer a replacement.

There's nothing worse then getting a replacement disc, only to find that it has less content than the damaged one had.

It can't really have less content as Spidey was a barebones disc.

We'll see what they say, I'm hoping to avoid having to repurchase the entire box set.

Nope. 1,2 and 3 all work fine.

It seems there's a problem with the PS3 playing the disc.

Actually got this resolved ages ago. I got another set and the disc played fine, so there must have been a problem with the disc. Bit annoying really as it had only ever been played once, when originally purchased, and then apparently had failed. You'd expect a Blu Ray disc to last a little bit longer than that.

Just tried my Spider-man 2 out of curiosity, i don't have a PS3 and as i've never watched it since i bought it over 2 years ago thought i'd test it.

Mine won't play either. I have a Sony S-360 and my player just wont read the disc.

I'm pretty sure i tested this when i first bought it and it played then, now it's just stopped working.

I recommend everyone with a Sony player to test their disc's.

My firmware is fairly up to date, gonna have to contact Sony and see if i can get a replacement disc.

It's not brilliant when SONY discs don't work in SONY machines....

Yeah, the odd thing is though, i'm 99.9% sure this used to work.

How the hell can it just stop working, if it didn't play to begin with i could understand it.
