Anyway, I can't wait for FFXIII-2! I wonder if we'll get it ~3 months after Japan does like we did with FFXIII. Hope so! I think the announcement trailer will be up on the official site this week!

Doesn't this game take place on Coccon and it's just a different story to the same game? I've only read a little about it so far.

This is a direct sequel to FFXIII (like FFX-2 was to FFX). Lightning is back (as seen in the game's logo and the announcement trailer)! I think you might be thinking of FF Versus XIII. That doesn't take place on Cocoon, but it's in the same universe as FFXIII.

I just watched the trailer on a live stream of the event. It was awesome!!! Very short though. Lightning has some new armor and it doesn't look that bad!

Can't wait for the HD version!

Doesn't matter. I hope they made some improvements from XIII, such as making it nonlinear. Now where's that news about Versus XIII, Square Enix?

I just personally hope they don't change too much. I love Final Fantasy XIII so of course improvements are always good, but I don't want a totally different game. Plus what you would call a "improvement" of making it non-linear, would not be a improvement in my book. Maybe a little less but not open world. I like FF XIII the way it is. I probaly enjoy it more because it is linear, but not too linear.

considering how crappy XIII was, it damn as well better

XIII was largely regarded by most as amajor dissapointment for the series. I see this as a chance for them to redeem themselves and that will have to include some major changes

What does that matter? If everyone else didn't like it, I still would. So I think I can say that I hope it doesn't change. I like FF XIII and think it's fine the way that it is. If they change it too much, I don't think I'll enjoy this.

I don't know if I like the new look of Lightning either.
