Gosh. I'm very picky so that means just about every movie in my collection is a must have.

Alien Anthology box set

I know the last two sequels aren't that popular to a lot of people (personally I love all 4, just love 3 and 4 less than 1-2) but it's a perfect example of a Blu-Ray box set done right and something that every fan of the series should be satisfied with.

What if you were to pick only ONE movie from your collection to keep, which one would that be? Tough decision huh ? haha.

This question is subjective and not everyone is going to have a universal "must-have" title...but I'll say Forrest Gump.

I own all of these that are available except Sin City. I wouldn't call Star Trek, The Rock, The Fighter, Black Hawk Down, or the Batman movies a "must-own" however. Just a "really want" to own.

Alien Anthology really is a must own. Extras are a 10/10. packaging is a 10/10. The first two films are a 10/10. The second two films have plenty good about them as well. PQ is phenomenal. AQ is phenomenal. I mean...a literally PERFECT release in my eyes.

I would also consider the Back to the Future Trilogy a must own!

That's an understatement. Because of my username, people often ask me what my favorite movie is, and in all honesty, I can't pick just one above the rest. The same would definitely be said about saving just one Blu-Ray from my collection (although I don't have that many to begin with).

I like a lot of films, to be sure...but over the last few years, I've become very selective in what I watch. This isn't due to preference, as much as necessity. I've let a lot of things into my mind and heart that didn't need to be there, and a past avenue for that was my obsession with cinema. Nowadays, I'm trying my best to restrict myself, mostly to films which don't push a lot of personal boundaries.

Thats tough, but for me:

2001: A Space Odessy
The Ten Commandments
Contact
Speed

For me, these showcase what Blu-ray is all about. I put off even going to Blu for a long time because I did not think anything was better then DVD. WOW, was I wrong. Blu-ray is the best and some movies show it off more then others. Movies are subjective; it all depends on what you like...

I would love to have these BD's. However they are region B locked or The La Haine (French BD) is very hard to find. As of right now I do not have a "region free" BD player

I so misread this early this morning. LoL those are BD's i want for my collection. As for must own titles in my own collection, who am I to tell anyone what to get. Now if you like the type of films I like then by all means you should have Battle Royale in your collection

This is an impossible task. Not only could I not come up with a list, I'm not sure I could even come up with a system for selecting them - how do you balance PQ/AQ and MQ (movie quality) and while we're at it DVDQ.

In my personal 'gotta have it' movie rankings The Maltese Falcon beats Apocalypse Now pretty handily. Apocaypse Now solidly beats the (more than capable, btw) Maltese Falcon on PQ/AQ and The Maltese Falcon would get knocked down a notch because it's latest DVD release was awfully good (a definite step down but I could more easily go back to that DVD than the AN DVD). So where does that leave me?

It leaves me with a freaking headache after comparing just two movies.

Sorry, can't do it
