Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!!! This is my favorite 80's comedy ever. I used to watch this all the time with one of my buddies, I still call him Owen cause he's a fat little pigeon.

Five MGM Catalog Comedies Arriving on July 5th

It appears as if more MGM catalog titles will be released on Blu-ray with brick and mortar retailers getting first dibs. Last month saw the classic MGM titles Midnight Cowboy, The Taking of Pelham One Two Three, Get Shorty, Casino Royale (1963) and City Slickers debut as Best Buy exclusives. On July 5th, Fox Home Entertainment will release the MGM comedies When Harry Met Sally, Throw Momma from the Train, A Fish Called Wanda, Legally Blonde, and It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World as Wal-Mart exclusives. Each title is up for pre-order on the retailers site with a list price of $19.99 and a sale price of $10.

This set of titles mixes up a bit of the old with the new. Stanley Kramer's It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World hit theaters in back in 1963 and features an ensemble cast of legendary performers including Spencer Tracy, Milton Berle, Sid Caesar, Mickey Rooney, Buster Keaton and more. The two Billy Crystal titles are Throw Momma from the Train, which marked Danny DeVito's directorial debut, and the enduring rom-com When Harry Met Sally with Meg Ryan. A Fish Called Wanda debuted in 1988 from Monty Python alum John Cleese and stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Kevin Kline and Michael Palin. The most recent film of the bunch is the 2001 comedy Legally Blonde with Reese Witherspoon and Luke Wilson.

As no official announcement from Fox has been given, cover art, specifications, and special features on these titles is still an unknown. Stay tuned for a update.

I probably won't get it during the release week as either Walmart I can go to is out of the way, but I'll be getting this as well at some point. It's one of my favorite comedies. I'm actually very surprised it is getting a Blu-ray release, exclusive or not.

I think I love this movie even more because of its ties to Hitchcock's Strangers on a Train.
Basically its the same story and even shows the film within the film. The original film gives the character the idea. Also Danny Devito is awesome!

Its a Mad Mad Mad World is also a classic. Plus it has lots of cameos including one of the best ever.

The part that always makes me laugh is when he's driving his friends car, does a u-turn then does another u-turn mourning the death of his ex until they mention "bestselling author" yelling "That slut, she is a slut, slut!"

Oh yeah that part always cracks me up to.

For some reason though the part that always amused me the most out of the entire movie was when Larry is hiding from the cops in the pantry, and Owen offers to make the cops Tea and when he pops his head inside the pantry curtain and says "Hi" to Larry and then quickly realizing the cops might be wondering why he said that, he says "Hi, Hi Tea, Hi!"

Watched the blu of Clint Eastwood's "Any Which Way You Can" and forgot the late Anne Ramsey (along with her real life husband Logan) had small roles in the film.

She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress and the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture.
